1960 Cadillac Coupe DeVille project car. Very very straight. Body work is 98% finished. Shaved door handles and side mouldings. Almost zero rust. It would take minimal effort to get it ready for paint. All 6 pieces of side glass are new and correct 2 pane laminate. All the power window motors have been refurbished and work perfect. Windows go up and down fast like they should. Windshield and back glass are not cracked and are in nice condition. Dash has been completely repainted. New hard shell dash cap. All digital gauges from Dakota Digital. New crushed velvet headliner. The picture is confusing, there is no sunroof, that is a mirror in the top. Passenger floor pan has been replaced. Some rust holes still in the trunk but nothing serious. Bumpers are in fair condition. The grille is decent. Under carriage has been sealed and repainted. Title and registration are current. No problems at the DMV!
Tons of spare parts including door panels and interior side panels, but no engine, transmission, or seats. Car has been stored inside. No cats or rats LOL.
I am selling only because I have 2 of these Cadillacs and I don't think I will end up finishing this one any time soon.

These are the top luxury cars bought by people entering the segment for the first time

Fri, 25 Jul 2014

Let's say you just got a big promotion at work or the kids are moving out of the house, and you finally have some extra money. You decide to blow it all at once and treat yourself by upgrading your ride. Naturally, you look to a luxury automaker. What do you choose?
Models like the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class may be tailor-made to introduce buyers to the premium segment, but a new study finds that they don't garner the highest rates of non-luxury customer conquests. It turns out that a Volvo leads among folks moving up to a premium brand, and it isn't even one that's made anymore, at that.
A recent study by Polk and IHS Automotive looked at what models had the highest rates of buyers upgrading from a non-luxury segment. The information comes from its new vehicle registration data through April 2014. All ten top models boasted conquest rates of over 50 percent, but the Volvo C70 led the field with 68.01 percent of its customers coming from non-premium brands.

Five awesome Lego car creations

Thu, 23 Oct 2014

Lego cars are among our favorite toys. They're fun for play, and if built properly, great to display. With that in mind, we've crafted a list of some of the best creations we've seen. Some are on sale now, while others are merely the work of fanciful enthusiasts. There are even a couple that you definitely cannot buy (we'll explain).
Our choices are diverse, including everything from a diminutive 1969 Chevy Corvette to a fullsize Ferrari Formula One racecar. These are just five projects that caught our eye - there are many more out there - so if you don't see your favorite Lego car on the list (or if you have your own creation), please tell us about it, in Comments.

SRX-replacing Cadillac XT5 spied for the very first time

Thu, 30 Oct 2014

Cadillac has got big plans in place to revitalize its lineup, with new sedans, coupes and crossovers. And it all starts with this, the replacement for the SRX.
Expected to be called XT5 in line with the brand's new naming scheme, the crossover will be based on a scalable new platform called C1XX - or Chi, for short. In its shorter form, Chi is anticipated to underpin the XT5 as well as a new Chevy crossover and the next-gen GMC Acadia. In long-wheelbase form, the platform is slated to give us a larger Cadillac crossover as well as a new Buick Enclave and Chevy Traverse.
Power in the XT5 will be provided by a choice of turbo four or atmospheric six, potentially to be transmitted through GM's new nine-speed automatic.
