THIS IS CAN AWESOME CRUISER. I BOUGHT THIS CAR COMPLETELY STOCK AND DID ALL THE CUSTOM WORK. I BOUGHT THIS CAR TO BE AN ORIGNAL 50,000 MILE CADILLAC. I HAVE NO WAY OF GUARANTEEING THIS BUT THE ODO DOES WORK AND EVERYTHING IN CAR WORKED INCLUDING FACTORY RADIO AND ALL ELECTRIC SEATS AND WINDOWS. IT WAS WHITE W/ BLUE INTERIOR AND VERY CLEAN. I PAINTED IT GRIGIO SILVER AND SHAVED ALL THE TRIM AND DOOR HANDLES TO GIVE IT A CLEAN LOOK.IT HAS REMOTE POPPERS FOR ALL 4 DOORS. I CONVERTED THE HEADLIGHTS OVER TO HID OUTPUT AND LED REAR TAILIGHTS & REVERSE LIGHTS. I HAD THE INTERIOR COMPLETELY REDONE W/ SUEDE HEAD LINER AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICS.. IT IS FULLY SERVICED AND READY TO GO. I PUT BRAND NEW 22 INCH WHEELS AND TIRES ON IT AND LOWERED IT 1 1/1 INCH ALL THE WAY AROUND. I ALSO PUT A DIGITAL OUTPUT RADIO IN IT WITH PHONE/IPOD HOOK UP. REBUILT TRANSMISSON AND ADDED THE FOLLOWING BRAND NEW : EDELBROCK 4BARREL/STARTER/DISTRIBUTOR PLUG & WIRES/HEATER CORE/AIR & FUEL FILTERS/ WATER PUMP/ TIMING CHAIN AND GEARS/ A/C FRESHLY CHARGED. I WANTED EVERYTHING ON THIS CAR TO BE DEPENDABLE SO I REPLACED MOST EXTERNAL ENGINE PARTS. CAR DOES NOT SMOKE OR TICK. GUARANTEED TO ENJOY. Cadillac SRX likely to see next-gen built in China
Tue, 08 Jul 2014Here's some shocking news to no one: People love crossovers, including those living in China. Since introducing the Cadillac SRX there in 2009, the model's sales have gone through the roof. Now, the brand is considering moving some production of the next-generation model in China to eliminate import tariffs and make it an even bigger player in the market.
According to a recent report in The Wall Street Journal, the crossover is leading Cadillac's Chinese growth, despite its US-equivalent price of over $67,000 after the country's high import tariffs. The CUV's sales are up 23 percent there so far this year, and it's responsible for over 40 percent of the brand's sales. John Stadwick, General Motors' VP of sales, service and marketing in China, told the WSJ that GM could "very possibly" build the next-gen model there.
The SRX is Cadillac's golden goose in China, and it just keeps pushing the brand's sales forward. "It's the vehicle that took us out of being a small niche in the market," said David Caldwell, Cadillac Communications Manager, to Autoblog. Before the CUV, Caddy was selling a little over 20,000 cars a year there, but partially thanks to the crossover's success, the brand sold 50,000 vehicles last year and could reach 60,000 this year. "The SRX is the most popular Cadillac in that market," he said.
First Cadillac ELR rolls off the line
Thu, 30 May 2013Gearing up for the Belle Isle Grand Prix this weekend, General Motors invited some of the Chevrolet and Cadillac racecar drivers out to its Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant. While there, the racers - including IndyCar Driver and Chevrolet Volt owner, Simona De Silvestro - witnessed the very first 2014 Cadillac ELR to roll off the assembly line.
These vehicles are not destined for customers, however, but instead pre-production units will be used by engineers for testing purposes. Actual production of ELR consumer models is expected to commence closer to the end of this year. As a refresher, this range-extended electric Cadillac shares much of its powertrain with the Volt but will have a sportier coupe design inspired by the Converj Concept.
