The car is %100 for the exception the car overheats.

The car runs, drives, and looks FANTASTIC!

*BUT*

If you drive the car for more than 10 miles it overheats

I did a little checking myself, here is what I found:

1) Oil looks good and clean
2) Coolant level looks good. Last owner put a bunch of stop leak in. The coolant appears to be old.
3) I was told the coolant and radiator were never flushed. The water pump is original. The radiator hoses are original.
4) The car is not leaking any fluids i can see underneath.
5) The car can sit and idle (even sometimes giving it gas) for 30+ minutes without overheating (That is the duration I was with the car while it was stationary). Temperature stays around 200F.
6) I did not hear any radiator fans ever kick on.
7) After 30 minutes I drove it around a 2 mile loop, twice and the temperature went up to 220F when I then parked it. I was watching the temperature and when I was cruising around 50 MPH on flat terrain, the temp briefly went down. The temperature went up when I was travelling around 20 MPH up a hill.
8) The heat is very hot. All hoses (upper radiator, lower radiator, heater core in & out, coolant reservoir itself, reservoir return lines) felt hot and no boiling was felt or heard inside the hoses.

Besides the overheating issue, the car is %100

You are welcome to come take a look at the car before bidding and make your own judgments and/or diagnosis.

Cadillac ATS-V shares track time and new face with CTS-V sibling

Tue, 24 Jun 2014

It's been about eight months since we last heard anything on the eagerly anticipated Cadillac ATS-V, meaning it was high time a new batch of photos arrived of the twin-turbocharged, V6-powered sedan.
This latest round includes a shot of the hot ATS-V alongside the upcoming CTS-V, allowing us to glimpse through the camouflage and spot the family resemblance between the two über sedans. According to our spies, this is the first time we've gotten a look at the ATS-V's fascia without a nose bra to obscure larger details. This isn't the first time we've seen a vertically slated grille on an in-development Cadillac V car, although it is the first time we've seen it on the ATS-V. Aside from the main grille, the shapes of the sportier front fascia of the ATS-V tie in nicely with its big brother. We are rather curious about the hood on the ATS-V. It's difficult to tell from these images, but it looks like there may be some vents up there that may be meant to improve cooling to the alleged 425-horsepower engine.
Other details that we can see include swollen fenders and larger wheels that hide amplified brakes. The rear of the car remains heavily obscured by camo, with the sole details of note being the quad exhausts, which we've spotted on previous ATS-V prototypes.

GM winding down Chevrolet brand in Europe

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

If you've taken even a cursory look at GM's European strategy and wondered how it can target the market there with both Chevrolet and Opel/Vauxhall, you're not alone. In fact General Motors itself has found it difficult to justify the two-pronged approach. That's why it's essentially pulling Chevy from the European marketplace.
Instead of trying to ply European buyers with what are mostly former Daewoo products rebadged as Chevys, GM will now let Opel (or Vauxhall in the UK) represent its mass-market aspirations. Chevrolet will keep its presence in Russia and other former Soviet markets, and will continue selling certain niche products in Eastern and Western Europe. The Corvette, for example, has long been sold in Europe through Cadillac dealerships, which for its part is currently "finalizing plans for expanding in the European market".
While the shift in strategy is expected to help GM get a stronger foothold in the European market in the long run, in the short term the restructuring will cost it dearly: between $700 million and $1 billion, according to its own estimates, split between the last quarter of this year and the first half of the next. Opel director Sedran to succeed Docherty as Chevy Europe boss

Wed, 26 Jun 2013

When longtime General Motors executive Susan Docherty announced she would be stepping down from her post as the head of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe, there was some idle chatter that plans for the creation of a new global overseer position for the Bowtie brand was behind the move. And while US sales chief Alan Batey has indeed assumed control of Chevy worldwide since her departure announcement, Docherty's vacancy is being filled after all, with Opel chief strategist Thomas Sedran taking up the reins.
That's according to Automotive News, who reports that Sedran will be tasked with pulling Chevy out of a sales funk, much of it pegged on Europe's stagnant auto industry, which has sunk to a 20-year low. AN notes that Chevy's EU sales plunged 32 percent to 57,584 units through the first five months of 2013, but the everyday value brand is faring worlds better than Cadillac, which has sold just 167 units in Europe over the same time period.
Sedran, 48, has been in the auto industry for over 20 years. Most recently, at Opel he had been working on long-term plans for the marque, and was appointed to the brand's management board in April of last year. Prior to joining GM, Sedran was employed as a management consultant for AlixPartners, where he worked closely with Opel for six years. Sedran will assume his new duties beginning July 1.
