The first, red Cadillac, is a prime example of a Cadillac. The body is laser straight and paint is in excellent condition being professionaly repainted not long ago and from the outside it looks simply gorgeous. It has a few spots that need to be repainted though but is an easy fix. Though there are some trims missing, the body itself is in top condition and even comes with skirts that are in excellent condition. The engine was rebuilt a few years ago and runs really well. It also has a new convertible roof that looks amazing and all the chrome has been rechromed and looks stunning. The car also has white wall tires and hub caps that are in very good condition. However on the inside there is completely empty . As you can see from the pictures it is completely empty and there is only a dashboard and streaming wheel. The floors on the inside look nice and are very solid, but are patched. This is where the second Cadillac comes in. It is the same exact car and year that has all the accessories, but it is a coupe rather than a convertible, including trims and interior pieces, even though the red Cadillac comes with all of its upholstery that just needs to be put in, nevertheless some pieces may be taken from the other cadillac. The grey cadillac is in great condition also and has only 59,000 original miles making the engine run amazingly. The paint on this car is pretty terrible therefore it is good for parts but it is also possible to be redone. The brakes in both cars are not so great and will need to be replaced. So what you're basically getting here is 2 cars with the red one being the one set up for perfect restoration by using the pieces off of the grey Cadillac. I bought these cars for this exact reason, to rebuild the red one and make it look excellent, but unfortunately I do not have enough time for this and can no longer and these cars just standing in my garage. I even bought most of the missing pieces that really just need to be placed on the car. Once again this auction includes BOTH cars so you are certain to have all the parts you need. Please feel free to contact me with any other question I will gladly answer them by email or via phone. Happy bidding.

There is a registration for both of them because there is no title for older cars in NY state

Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.

2013 Cadillac ATS 3.6 AWD

All-Wheel, All Right
There is no escaping the luxury all-wheel drive empire Audi has built for itself over the past 15 years. While nearly every high-end marque has at least one offering with power at all four corners, the hardware can't help but play second fiddle to Ingolstadt's Quattro kingdom. Leather-lined all-wheel drive is simply Audi the way minimum wage is an English degree. But General Motors seems hell-bent on raiding as many established fiefdoms as possible with the 2013 Cadillac ATS. Engineers and designers made no secret of the fact that the baby Cadillac was penned specifically to take on the BMW 3 Series, but Audi should be no less concerned about the newest luxury prince from Detroit.
GM has been stuffing all-wheel drive systems under their vehicles for years, but the effort hasn't come without nasty side effects. Unfortunate understeer, extra ride height, smallish wheels and porky curb weight meant opting for all-wheel drive was like signing your driving pleasure's death warrant. Would you like polished brass or brushed nickel hardware for your right foot's coffin, sir?

2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe configurator is ready to get personal

Wed, 17 Sep 2014

If you are in the market for a luxury coupe but would prefer it to be American, then you are in luck because the configurator for the 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe is now online.
Prices for the Cadillac start at $38,990 (including the $995 destination fee) for the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 272 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, or $46,145 for the 321-hp, 275-lb-ft 3.6-liter V6. Gearbox options include a six-speed manual on some 2.0 models or a six-speed automatic on both of them, and they can be ordered with all-wheel drive for $2,450 to the four-cylinder or $2,600 to the 3.6.
One thing that Cadillac does especially well here is giving customers a plethora of models and options to choose from. Trim level choices include standard, luxury, performance and premium for the four-cylinder or luxury, performance and premium for the V6. There are also 10 colors available, five of which carry an extra premium of $495 or $995. Upgraded interior packages for $1,295 add improved trim and leather, as well.
