Car is in great condition. Odometer reads 67,000 original miles. Motor runs smooth. Engine size is an 8 Cyl gas Automatic transmission.
Does not smoke when you start it up. New battery. All lights,power windows, power locks and power seat work. Interior does need some work, specifically the front seats need to be re covered. No rust damage that I can see, and no water damage that is known of. Top has no tears or rips in it, also comes with the original parade boot. The top is electric, however I think there is a wiring issue, because we had to take it down and let it up manually. Small palm sized dint on right front, very hard to see, could be fixed easily. This car is in really good shape, just a very cool car! Also, for reference, the 1973 Cadillac Eldorado convertible was chosen as the Indianapolis 500 Pace Car for 1973. |

Thu, 23 May 2013We try very, very hard to keep snark away from creations like the one you see here. After all, someone poured plenty of enthusiasm, time and money into turning a 2008 Cadillac XLR into a modern interpretation of the new-old cars typically done by cottage builders like Excalibur and Clénet. Even so, it's hard not to wince when you set an eye on this machine. With its wheelbase stretched to accommodate the extra bodywork, goofy sidewalls and upkicked nose (examine it in profile, it looks slightly bent in the middle), this "neoclassic" takes whatever was loveable about the Cadillac underneath and buries it in a tacky grave.
Miraculously, the engine bay has been left unmolested, which means the retractable hardtop convertible still features a 4.6-liter Northstar V8 engine good for 320 horsepower. If only that were enough to outrun its shame. If, for some reason, you feel like taking this thing home, Harry Kaufmann Motorcars of Milwaukee says it can be yours for a paltry $74,998. 2014 Cadillac ELR wears a suave suit with Volt underpants
Tue, 15 Jan 2013The Cadillac design and engineering teams were smiling like a bunch of proud papas here in Detroit this morning, as the Wreath and Crest crew pulled the curtain back on their 2014 ELR. The house was packed for the ELR's coming out party, and reaction was enthusiastic amongst the murmuring media, as far as we could gather, while the flashes were firing.
In fact, we think that the sleek styling and aggressive proportions of the Voltec-powered ELR looked even better in the metal than they did in the first official images we saw earlier. Further, the leather-lined interior seems custom made for serious driving, even if the ELR is slightly less than rocket-ship quick.
The new Cadillac makes good use of the basic running gear from the Chevrolet Volt, including the 1.4-liter range-extending gas engine, a 15.6-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, and an electric drive motor that offers 295 pound-feet of torque, and a total system output of 207 horsepower. All-electric range is down by just one mile versus its Chevrolet forebearer, for a total of 35, and Cadillac speculates that the total range with the gasoline generator figured in will top 300 miles.
