I purchased this from the second owner from what I was told by him is that he purchased the car from his friend the purchased it new and drive it very very little and then after his friend had pass on his wife called him and sold it to him and he and his wife drove it on the weekends and some beach trips. He told me the miles are org I can not verify the miles but it shows to be org 48000 miles my mechanic went thro the car and he service it and tuned it and change all fluids and the trans was slipping so it took it to the trans shop and I have a receipt showing that they rebuilt it the front ujoints and the rubber boots look good. The top works and the a/c is all there I think it needs charging but it take the old a/c charge. This is a head turning car it drives great and looks like a million dollars my kids love it. This car has no warranty other then the trans work that was done The car is being sold as is were is. No returns.The car will need a new dash cover and carpet and the back two side panels are the only thing that really needs to be recovered the interior is 40 years old but it is not rip up it may die and look good and top is slow going up and down. At the end of auction winning bidder must put a $1,000.00 deposit with in 24hrs and it is non-refundable and must pay for the car in full in seven days if not it will be relisted are sold out side of eBay. GM recalling Cadillac ATS, XTS, Chevy Impala over faulty brake lamps
Thu, 06 Jun 2013General Motors has issued a recall covering 1,627 sedans over faulty brake lamps. Both the 2013 Cadillac ATS and XTS are affected by this problem, as is the 2014 Chevrolet Impala.
According to an official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, "the brake lamps may intermittently flash without the brakes being applied and the cruise control may disengage" on these vehicles. The report does not state that the brakes themselves are faulty, but rather that "if the brake lamps flash when the vehicle is not slowing, a following driver may not adjust vehicle speed when the vehicle is in fact braking."
This marks the first recall for the 2013 Cadillac ATS, as well as the recently introduced 2014 Chevy Impala. In late 2012, over 12,000 Cadillac XTS models were recalled due to a head restraint issue.
2016 Cadillac ATS-V blasts into LA
Tue, 18 Nov 2014The first details about the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V recently hit the web ahead of the official debut at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. Now, the latest model to wear Caddy's high-performance V moniker is officially official, and the specs are even better than initial rumors suggested.
The latest figures actually give the ATS-V a hair more power than first believed, with 455 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque pumping out of the twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6. With a standard electronic limited-slip differential keeping rear wheels in check, Cadillac claims that the model sprints to 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 185 mph. Buyers have two transmission choices that both offer launch control: a six-speed manual featuring Active Rev Match and no-lift shifting, or an eight-speed automatic.
Thoroughly revised suspension and braking systems should also mean that the ATS-V excels at more than just going in a straight line. The chassis itself receives extra bracing to boost overall stiffness by 25 percent over lesser ATS models. On top of that, a host of suspension upgrades front and rear, including third-generation Magnetic Ride Control dampers, mean quicker steering response and a tighter ride. Plus, Brembo six-piston calipers up front and four-pistons in the rear should bring rapid deceleration. To tune it all to the driver's whim, the Performance Traction Management system gives five settings to choose from for stability and traction control.
C7 Corvette won't spawn new Cadillac XLR [w/video]
Fri, 23 Aug 2013Between the new 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray and the even newer Cadillac Elmiraj Concept shown off at Pebble Beach, we were already expecting some sort of chatter of a Cadillac XLR redux. During an in-depth C7 Corvette discussion with Tadge Juechter, the car's chief engineer, Fox News asked if a Corvette-based, Bowling Green-built Cadillac will be built off the C7. Non-spoiler alert: the answer is no.
Juechter says that General Motors has "no intent" on transforming this car into a Cadillac product since the C7 has been optimized for the Corvette buyer, a consumer that's generally a different sort of person than a Cadillac intender who might also be cross-shopping a Mercedes-Benz SL-Class or BMW 6 Series.
While we're not ready to write off a future XLR altogether, we assume that the Corvette Cadillac experiment is most likely never going to happen again. The interview with Juechter is posted below, but the XLR discussion comes in at the 9:00 mark.
