1959 Cadillac Limousine With A/c 1960 Limo Package Deal on 2040-cars
Clarksville, Maryland, United States
1959 Cadillac Limousine This is an extremely rare car. We have a lot of extra parts for it, including some bumper ends and a better fender. It is almost impossible to find one of these in these current times. It is absolutely impossible to find one with factory A/C. The undercarriage on this car did not look very rusty, although it did have some scale on the frame, but that can be cleaned up easily. This car was out of New Mexico and is a prime candidate for a restoration. I believe that this car is complete except for the horn ring. A new windshield for this car has been ordered and is sitting inside, but not installed. This car would come with four Cadillac hubcaps. We are waiting for the new title to come in. This car is desirable, but you have to be willing to fix and restore it. This would be a great car to start a restoration with. I am not interested in any lowball offers due to the rarity of this car. I have a 1957 and 1960 limousine that I will be listing all with A/C. Please look for these other listings. Also see the 58 hearse we have also for parts I can assist with all kinds of international shipping, so please call me with any questions at 301 672 1000. |

GM recalling 2013 Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac SRX over transmission software
Thu, 21 Mar 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued recalls for the 2013 Buick LaCrosse and 2013 Cadillac SRX due to a problem with the software for the transmission controller. On about 27,000 SRX and LaCrosse models, the transmission could accidentally be shifted to Sport mode, which would reduce the amount of engine braking drivers experience.
NHTSA says this could increase the risk of a crash, but, fortunately, the required fix is simply an update to the software.
While we're on the subject of General Motors vehicle recalls, a small number (48) of compressed natural gas versions of the 2011 Chevrolet Express are also being recalled for a potential risk of fire or explosion. Yikes. Both official recall notices are posted below.
Cadillac XTS to become Opel flagship sedan?
Tue, 24 Jul 2012According to Auto-News.de, Opel is considering using Cadillac's all-new big sedan, the XTS, as the base for its new flagship car, which would likely carry the name Omega.
WorldCarFans.com speculates that Opel could use GM's 3.6-liter direct-injection V6 that generates 304 horsepower or, possibly, a 2.8-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine that creates 321 horsepower to power the vehicle. The European automaker could even use a 195-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine in this application - fine, since many of Europe's largest sedans are powered by smaller, more efficient engines.
Regardless of power, the Omega could arrive at dealerships by the end of 2013.
Cadillac logo losing its wreath?
Tue, 23 Jul 2013The easily recognizable Cadillac logo dates back to the company's founding in the early 1900s, but over the last 110 years, there has been an on-again, off-again love affair with the wreath surrounding the crest. Cadillac's current badge design has used the wreath since the 1980s, but Automotive News is reporting that GM's luxury division is planning to ditch the laurel wreath for a cleaner-looking logo.
The new logo could make its debut as early as next month on a new concept car that will be revealed at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, although the report also says that it might be until 2015 before it makes its way to a production car. Even then, it doesn't like anything has been finalized yet, as the article also says that plans could still change.
As Cadillac looks to improve its global presence as a luxury automaker, the report says that a simpler logo could make it easier for designers to incorporate the badge onto the car - either in the grille or above the grille (possibly in a fashion similar to Mercedes-Benz). Head on over to the AN article, which shows the Cadillac logo dating back to its earliest design.
