1972 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special Brougham 7.7l, Garage Find, No Reserve on 2040-cars
Oakland, California, United States
Another GEM from this large Cadillac collection. Selling this 1972 Cadillac Fleetwood, 60 Special Brougham. It is finished in blue with a black vinyl top. The Cadillac has been stored in the garage and has not seen daylight in over 20 plus years. The interior is in good condition. The front driver's side bottom cushion does have some wear in the fabric(see video and photos). The rear seats look like they have never been sat in. The foot rest are still attached. The seatbelts clean and intact. It fires right up and drives good. I personally would change all the fluids and bleed the brakes as they are a bit spongy. Most likely from sitting all these years. The chrome is good and the tires have good tread. The dash is not cracked, the original radio is still in the dash. The trunk is clean and the factory jack instructions are still attached. The spare tire cover is still present too. Cadillac's were the vehicle of choice of the rich and famous. This 1972 was purchased new in Northern California in 1973 and remained here it's entire life, cozy in it's custom fit garage. This Fleetwood was the garage mate of the 1972 Limo that I recently sold on ebay. Many more miles are to be driven in this Fleetwood so bid it to win it. Selling for NO RESERVE. Final bid gets to take her home.
With all my auctions, a few requirements. First, NO PAYPAL. Second, any and all bidders with less than 10 feedback, and/or negative feedback need to contact me prior to bidding with their full name and contact number or their bid will be cancelled and their user id blocked from additional bidding. Third, you are bidding to own, not look and make excuses. Any and all inspections welcome during the auction period, not after. Once the auction is completed, you are the new owner.
Also, selling in AS-IS, Where-Is condition with NO WARRANTIES, expressed or implied. Seller has represented vehicle to the best of his knowledge and makes no representations as to the condition of vehicle that are not known to him. Vehicle is also advertised locally and seller reserves right to end the auction early and cancel all bids if sold outside of ebay. Any and all interested buyers can email for a buy it now price if they cannot wait until the end of the auction. So, with a great big, Caddy for your Daddy" yell, let the auction begin.

2014 Cadillac ELR whirs into Jay Leno's Garage
Tue, 18 Jun 2013While Jerry Seinfeld was gallivanting around LA with Sarah Silverman in a Jaguar XKE, our favorite car-loving comedian, Jay Leno, was checking out the all-new 2014 Cadillac ELR. Set to go on sale later this year, Cadillac brought its ELR to Jay Leno's Garage to show off some of its styling and technology as well as give Leno some seat time in the range-extended EV. Leno owns both a Volt and a CTS-V, and the ELR is a kind combination of the two (sort of).
In this episode, Leno spends some time talking to Frank Saucedo, GM director of advanced design, and ELR chief engineer Chris Thomason before logging a few miles on the sleek coupe. Interestingly, it seems that GM has definitely changed its tune a little since the introduction of the Volt a couple years ago; Saucedo and Leno both refer to the ELR as a hybrid, and Thomason says that it gets the "bulk of its propulsion" from the electric motors. Whatever you want to call it, scroll down to watch the latest episode of JLG with some great information and driving shots of the plug-in Cadillac.
Lansing builds its millionth Cadillac
Wed, 18 Sep 2013Cadillacs are built at plants across North America. The Escalade is assembled in Texas, the SRX in Mexico and the XTS in Ontario. But the bulk of Cadillac's lineup - or the smaller members of the family, at least - are built in Michigan. And while the upcoming ELR will be built alongside the Chevy Volt at the Detroit/Hamtramck facility (which incidentally opened with the Cadillac Eldorado back in '86), the majority of those Cadillacs built in Michigan are handled by the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant.
In fact, Lansing Grand River just celebrated its millionth Cadillac built. The landmark millionth vehicle is a new 2014 CTS sedan in Red Obsession Tintcoat. The facility opened in 2001 and has built Cadillacs almost exclusively since then, assembling the CTS and ATS model lines, though in a couple of years it will also handle production of the Chevy Camaro.
Cadillac scraps three-row CUV plans
Fri, 23 May 2014Crossovers are one of the hottest automotive segments on the planet. Apparently, the idea of mixing the practicality of a station wagon with the looks of an SUV appeals to people whether they are in Cleveland or Shanghai because nearly every automaker is jumping into the market. So it was no surprise when early rumors suggested Cadillac was planning two, new CUVs to fit above and below the SRX. But things might have changed since then.
New rumblings indicate Caddy is taking a different route. Instead of two crossovers, only the compact is on the way, and the larger, three-row CUV on the Lambda platform to sit between the SRX and Escalade may be a goner. According to Ward's Auto, General Motors thinks that the other three-row, Lambda vehicles like the Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia compete too closely with the proposed Cadillac. The decision comes fairly close to the 2017 intended production date.
As far back as 2010, this Lambda-platform based CUV was considered highly likely for production. However, Cadillac Senior Vice President Bob Ferguson was somewhat cooler about it when he discussed the new crossover briefly last year. He said the model could use the Escalade name, despite its unibody chassis, but no decision had been made yet to actually produce it.
