1984 Brougham De Elegance Sedan Modified Pwr:fuel Injected Cadillac 425 V8 on 2040-cars
New Carlisle, Ohio, United States
First, thanks for looking. Here we have a 1984 Fleetwood Brougham De Elegance. I purchased the car from an older gentleman in Denver, CO when I lived in CO. He inherited the car from his brother who bought It new from Rickenbaugh Cadillac. It was always very well cared for and had just under 50K miles when I purchased it. The original motor was bad and I replaced it with a professionally rebuilt 425 Cadillac V-8. The original TBI was adapted to the old Cadillac manifold and the motor is powered by new Chevy 454 throttle body fuel injectors. The motor runs well and averages low teens mpg. The highest I have yet to achieve is 20 mpg on the freeway. This motor can put out an excess amount of torque/PWR such that caution must be used so as to not destroy the stock THM-200R4 transmission! This very we'll may be the only Fuel injected 4 speed/overdrive big block Cadillac Fleetwood out there! Everything works on this Cadillac as it should except that the A/C has never been charged since the motor conversion. I believe this Fleetwood has every available option for 1984 except moonroof. This is a nice one of a kind Cadillac. The paint is nearly original and has checked/faded some. All in all a super Cadillac! Please email or call with questions. I have more than a dozen cars and intend on selling a few this year. Happy bidding! The auction will not end early; no buy it now option- period.
WILLING TO DELIVER FOR A FEE TO WINNING BUYER/bidder depending on distance & time. Kevin White: ualbeast@msn.com//(970) 980-6278; email preferred for questions. |

Cadillac could 'flourish' in Australia, says marketing chief
Thu, 13 Mar 2014Cadillac might have its best product mix in recent history, and GM's luxury brand is looking to expand. In fact, it might even be making a trip Down Under, at least according to the company's global marketing chief.
Uwe Ellinghaus spoke with Australian site Car Advice at the Geneva Motor Show and said the brand could be quite successful there. "[The] goodwill that the Cadillac brand has is such a good starting base that once we get proper volume commitment and a dealer network behind it we can easily flourish," he said, though he warned that the plans are still in their earliest stages and years away. First, Cadillac will expand in markets with the highest possible sales, like China and Russia.
Ellinghaus said that the most likely models for Oz would be the SRX, Escalade and CTS; the latter would probably act as a replacement for the Holden Commodore. GM's Australian arm is ending local production in 2017, and there have been many rumors about what is happening to the big sedan. However, Ellinghaus admits exporting cars from the US to Australia is going to mean higher prices. In addition to the expense, Cadillac doesn't currently build any right-hand-drive models. It would likely take until the end of the decade before the Aussie models could be ready.
Opel director Sedran to succeed Docherty as Chevy Europe boss
Wed, 26 Jun 2013When longtime General Motors executive Susan Docherty announced she would be stepping down from her post as the head of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe, there was some idle chatter that plans for the creation of a new global overseer position for the Bowtie brand was behind the move. And while US sales chief Alan Batey has indeed assumed control of Chevy worldwide since her departure announcement, Docherty's vacancy is being filled after all, with Opel chief strategist Thomas Sedran taking up the reins.
That's according to Automotive News, who reports that Sedran will be tasked with pulling Chevy out of a sales funk, much of it pegged on Europe's stagnant auto industry, which has sunk to a 20-year low. AN notes that Chevy's EU sales plunged 32 percent to 57,584 units through the first five months of 2013, but the everyday value brand is faring worlds better than Cadillac, which has sold just 167 units in Europe over the same time period.
Sedran, 48, has been in the auto industry for over 20 years. Most recently, at Opel he had been working on long-term plans for the marque, and was appointed to the brand's management board in April of last year. Prior to joining GM, Sedran was employed as a management consultant for AlixPartners, where he worked closely with Opel for six years. Sedran will assume his new duties beginning July 1.
Cadillac scraps three-row CUV plans
Fri, 23 May 2014Crossovers are one of the hottest automotive segments on the planet. Apparently, the idea of mixing the practicality of a station wagon with the looks of an SUV appeals to people whether they are in Cleveland or Shanghai because nearly every automaker is jumping into the market. So it was no surprise when early rumors suggested Cadillac was planning two, new CUVs to fit above and below the SRX. But things might have changed since then.
New rumblings indicate Caddy is taking a different route. Instead of two crossovers, only the compact is on the way, and the larger, three-row CUV on the Lambda platform to sit between the SRX and Escalade may be a goner. According to Ward's Auto, General Motors thinks that the other three-row, Lambda vehicles like the Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia compete too closely with the proposed Cadillac. The decision comes fairly close to the 2017 intended production date.
As far back as 2010, this Lambda-platform based CUV was considered highly likely for production. However, Cadillac Senior Vice President Bob Ferguson was somewhat cooler about it when he discussed the new crossover briefly last year. He said the model could use the Escalade name, despite its unibody chassis, but no decision had been made yet to actually produce it.
