Up for auction is a rare 1985 Cadillac Fleetwood Series 75 Limousine This was the smallest Limo Cadillac ever built. Only 389 of these were ever built. This was the very last and final generation of the legendary series 75 Limos. These cars were dramatically  downsized for 1985 - 1987 yet they retained all of the interior room of their predecessors. This rare Fleetwood Executive mini limo is in excellent condition throughout. It runs and drives incredibly smooth. She has a totally rust free and super straight body. The exterior Black paint is believed to be original in excellent to very good condition. Paint has very slight fading on the trunk lid, other than that ,excellent. All chrome trim and bumpers look new with mirror reflective quality. The thickly padded Cabriolet vinyl roof is in like new perfect condition. This model has a small 249 CID V-8 engine,4 speed transmission. It delivers 16 -18 MPG in city and 24 - 27 MPG highway actual milage. The Cadillac -La Salle Club already considers these small limos to be unique and collector's items. 11 vehicles from Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas worth watching

Fri, 26 Sep 2014

This weekend will see the world's collector car crowds descend on Las Vegas, NV for one of the biggest shows on Barrett-Jackson's popular auction circuit. There are hundreds of vehicles up for bidding, ranging from a brand-new Lamborghini Aventador to a spattering of Art Deco classics and a huge swath of classic muscle cars.
While it's virtually impossible to assemble an inarguable list of the best cars coming during the three-day, 700-plus vehicle auction, we've sifted through the listings for this year's show - it was a tough assignment, we promise - and assembled a list of what we think will be some of the most interesting lots. We'll admit, it's a bit heavy on American iron, but if you browse BJ's listings, you'll come to a similar conclusion. Still, scroll down for our list of what we think will be the most interesting vehicles at the upcoming auction.

2015 Cadillac Escalade configurator lets you bling it your way

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

It's Friday, so there must be a new configurator to play with. While last week we showed you how to build your own McLaren 650S, today's ride is a bit more common. It's the 2015 Cadillac Escalade, a vehicle that you've been able to colorize since the end of last year, and which is sure to be an increasingly common sight on US roads in the coming months.
For those that have played with the build-your-Caddy tool, there's not much new here, aside from the vehicle being configured. The Escalade is available in three trims and two wheelbases, with prices spanning from the SWB, two-wheel-drive Standard, which starts at $72,690, on to the all-wheel-drive, long-wheelbase ESV Premium, which kicks off at $86,790. The options list, meanwhile, isn't hugely extensive. A rear-seat entertainment system and power-retractable side-steps (only available on the Premium trim) are the two notable options, while customers will have their choice of six exterior paints and two to three interior schemes, depending on the trim level.
Hop on over to Cadillac's consumer page and take a look.

Mercedes leads in US luxury car thefts

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

Mercedes-Benz makes some fine automobiles. The Silver Arrow'd cars are so good, apparently, that thieves can't help but try to steal them. The German brand is at the top of the charts for luxury car thefts in the US, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, with New York City leading the way. (And those New Yorkers complain about Detroit being bad!)
The C-Class was the most stolen model, with 485 ganked between 2009 and 2012 in NYC alone, while the E-Class and S-Class (which also boasted the worst recovery rate, at 59 percent) both finished in the top ten. Following the C-Class was the BMW 3 Series and Infiniti G. Not surprisingly, each of these were the most common models in their respective lineups. Los Angeles and Miami are also prime hotspots for luxury car thefts, according to the Detroit News report.
While getting your car stolen is pretty awful, there was one inspiring statistic compiled by the NICB - the average recovery rate across the board was 84 percent, with the Cadillac CTS getting recovered 91 percent of the time.
