This car was originally bought new by a local lady who passed away last year and I bought it from her son and only has 62,995 miles. The car has been very well maintained and just got an oil change, air filter, wiper blades, and had the injectors cleaned. The only issue the car had when I got it was that the back rear window had a broken part in the regulator, so I ordered a new regulator/window motor from Cadillac and has a local glass shop install it professionally, it works great. I have the receipts for all the recent maintainence and the receipt for the new window regulator/motor and installation. The car is dark cherry metallic with a tan top and a tan interior, beautiful color combination. The car is in excellent shape and has never been in an accident. The original spare looks new and hs never touched the ground. The only blemishes on the car are: 1. A wear spot on the driver's seat from the prior owner getting in and out, 2. A wear spot on the center pillar material also from her getting out, 3. A small dent on the front bumper (shown in pics, only on chrome), 4. Needs tires, the tires look to be the original ones, as these are the tires that the Cadillacs came with. You can check out the value on kbb or nada and you will see that I have priced the car very fair to allow more than enough to get a very nice set of tires. Cadillac SRX production moving to TN, next-gen Equinox going to Mexico
Fri, 29 Aug 2014It's a good week for the town of Spring Hill, TN, as General Motors has announced that its factory in the city of 31,000 will receive a $185 million contract to produce engines. On top of that, the next-generation Cadillac SRX crossover will be built at the factory (NA models are presently built in Ramos, Arizpe Mexico), which was once famous for being the home of GM's now-defunct Saturn brand.
The factory is one of GM's six facilities around the globe that will screw together the company's new line of three- and four-cylinder Ecotec engines. Spring Hill currently builds the 2.0-liter, turbocharged Ecotec, as well as the naturally aspirated 2.4 and 2.5-liter variants.
Spring Hill's vehicle assembly lines were idled in 2009, but were reactivated in 2011. The SRX is just one of the products meant to benefit from last year's $350-million investment, and should have a positive impact, creating or retaining around 1,800 positions at the factory.

GM recalling 117,000 sedans, crossovers, SUVs, pickups and vans
Thu, 02 Oct 2014General Motors has issued a stop-sale to dealers and has notified the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration of its intention to recall 117,000 vehicles in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Of those vehicles, only 4,500 are at dealerships.
The affected vehicles include the Cadillac CTS and Chevrolet Impala sedans, fullsize SUVs (Cadillac Escalade, Chevy Tahoe and Suburban and GMC Yukon and Yukon XL), Lambda-platform crossovers (Chevy Traverse, Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia), heavy-duty pickups (Chevy Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD) and fullsize vans (Chevy Express and GMC Savana). The sedans and body-on-frame SUVs include model years 2013 and 2014, while the CUVs, heavy-duty pickups and vans are limited to MY2014.
GM confirmed the recall to Autoblog via an emailed statement (which we've included below). According to the statement, the issue at hand in what is the company's 69th recall of 2014 covers the chassis-control module. Automotive News is reporting that a problem in the chassis-control system could cause a short in the module, which could cause the engine to stall or fail to start. The fault could also affect the trailer-brake control, provided it's equipped.
