HELLO ALL CADILLAC ENTHUSIAST   A RARE ON OF 4 BUILT 1928 CADILLAC FLEETWOOD COLLAPSIBLE ROOF RUMBLE SEAT CAR.  THIS CAR WAS A CAR USED IN ITS DAY FOR THE AUTO SHOW ALONG WITH 5 OTHER MODELS THIS BEING JOB CAR NUMBER ONE.  SHOW AT NY AUTO SHOW TO TAKE ORDERS OF THE NEW MODEL YEAR. THE CAR WAS IN A RESTORATION SHOP MUCH MONEYS SPENT SO FAR . THE UNDESIDE DONE FOR SHOW. ALL WOOD WORK HAS BEEN DONE TO THE UP MOST PROFESSIONAL MATTER ALSO NEW WOOD WHEELS RE MADE. THE CAR COLORS WER BLACK AND OLIVE  ONE SIDE PAINTED FOR THE LOOK SEE WHAT IT WOULD LOOK LIKE. CAR HAS FACTORY HEATER SEASON AIR VERY LONG WHEEL BASE 140 INN RARE FLEETWOOD CUSTOM BODY MADE IN FLEETWOOD PA FIRE WALL HAS BEEN PAINTED FOR SHOW AND FUEL CANISTER HAS BEEN DONE ALONG WITH LINKAGES FOR CARB  THEY ARE CHROMED AND INSTALLED ENGINE INSTALLED NOW READY TO INSTALL HEADS THE VALVE SEATS WERE HARDENED AND STANDERSD BORE ON CYLINDERS NEED RINGS FOR THE PISTONS AND INSTALL PISTONS IN BLOCK THE HEADS. SO PARTLY TOGETHER ENGINE OIL PAN INSTALLED SHOW BASE COAT PAINT ON IT. ALL THE WOOD TOP BOWS RE MADE AND WELL DONE ALL TOP METAL HINGES ARE THERE FRONT HEADER BOW HAS BEEN RE DONE ALSO NEW WOOD. HAS RECHROME WINSHEILD FRAME AND NEW GLASS FOR IT. THE DASH HAS INCORRECT WOOD VENEER HAS A RE WOOD STEERING WHEEEL NICE ALL DASH CHROME LEVERS AND KNOBS RECHROMED DASH GAGUES ALSO. AND INSTALLED. THE UPHOLSTERY NEEDS DONE ALL OF IT FRONT AND RUMBLE SEAT AND DOOR PANELS AND TOP. THE OUT SIDE CHROME NEEDS TO BE DONE BUT VERY NICE PARTS TO RECHROME. THE RAD ORNAMENT WAS THE RARE HERALDER OR HORN BLOWER .  THESE ARE REPRODUCED ORGINAL WAS BROKEN . THE CARS LIKE THESE MANY FISHER BODY CARS WERE BUILT DONT BE MISLED  ON VALUE THE FISHER CAR WILL SELL OR MUCH LESS  THIS IS FLEETWOOD THE CAR CAN BE RECOGNIZED BY IT SCALLOP IN THE COWL AND IT RAISED HOOD STAMIPNG .ALSO THIS CAR HAS THE 20 INN WHEELS 750-20  MAKES FOR A TALL CAR . MOST ALL PART ACCOUNTED FOR  WHATS MISSING IS AS FOLLOWS  DUAL SIDE MOUNT BRACKES, HOOD ORNAMENT, REAR SEAT SPRINGS FOR RUMBLE SEAT, DASH THIN SURROUND CHROME, FRONT BUMPER BRACE. 2013 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year finalists announced [w/poll]

2012 is almost in the books and automakers are spending December gearing up for the 2013 auto show season, which tips off next month at the Detroit Auto Show. Traditionally, the latter opens up with the announcement of the North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards, and this year figures to be no different.
But up until this moment, we didn't know which six vehicles would be parked ahead of the stage as finalists, with executives and engineers waiting for the winners to be disclosed. Whittled down from October's "short list" of nominees (11 cars and 10 truck/utility vehicles), the finalists are as follows:

Cadillac mulling CTS Coupe successor after all

The 2014 Cadillac CTS made a big splash last week at the New York Auto Show, but now that we've seen the sedan, we can start to wonder about whether coupe and wagon versions are in the cards. According to Edmunds, Cadillac is at least considering bringing back the CTS Coupe for a second generation, which seems like an even better chance since the brand's global marketing director, Jim Vurpillat, was quoted as saying that the car was the top-selling luxury coupe in the industry.
Of course, this goes against reports we heard last year that Caddy's coupe and wagon would live on just not under the CTS name, but the interview with Vurpillat has us hopeful for a next-generation CTS Coupe. If it does come to fruition, we would expect the new two-door to have a largely unique exterior design like the current CTS Coupe, to echo that of intended rivals like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and even the high-dollar BMW 6 Series.

Bridging The Gap With Power And Poise
As you read these words, West Coast Editor Michael Harley is preparing to drive the brand-new 2014 Cadillac CTS along the gorgeous, sun-drenched roads of Southern California. And while I'll wait for Harley's full report before I put words in his mouth, I'm willing to bet he enjoys the hell out of Cadillac's new CTS. In fact, I'm sure of it.
I say this with confidence because, about a month ago, I spent the better part of a day flogging the new CTS Vsport around the 2.9-mile Milford Road Course - a challenging circuit laid out in the infield of an oval test track at GM's proving grounds in southeast Michigan. The MRC was built about a decade ago after Bob Lutz was lured out of retirement to work closely with GM's product development team, and thus, this circuit is known informally as the "Lutz Ring." The main objective of the MRC was to have an in-house facility for engineers to fine-tune vehicle dynamics, without having to constantly schlep cars over to Germany's infamous Nürburgring. (Of course, they still do.)
