1996 CADILLAC SEVILLE SLS FOUR DOOR w/NorthStar Engine.
Pearl White (Exterior)
171,000 hwy miles, very strong engine, cold A.C., very hot heat. I have replaced both top radiator hoses $130, had installed Arnott back shocks $365, new input speed sensor inside the transmission $750, new fuel filter and fluids, new after market Dual Car stereo, w/antenna, new serpentine belt and pulley $150, replaced the right front chrome piece on the right front fender and on the left and back sides of the back bumper, regular oil changes - next one Aug 2014, seats in front are worn with regular wear, back seats are in very good condition. New battery!

More Pros: A very nice, sharp lookin, riding vehicle. All lights work, including the cruise. Tires has 65% life left or more, factory caddy rims are in good condition. The undercarriage is in very good condition (no rust) for the year and only one service light and that's for the air ride. (explained in cons)
*Computer diagnostic only shows the air ride problem, no other problems!

Cons: A small dent in the right front fender. I Only had
the Arnott shocks for several months and the left rear shock is missing the electrical component, from a defect, so the "Air ride suspension" light sometimes come on, due to pot holes. Arnott Air Ride Suspension company, wouldn't grant me a 1 year warranty, so I never had the left rear shock replaced. It doesn't effect the riding too much, unless the deep potholes interact with the vehicle.

Engine 4.6 L V 8-cylinder (Drivetrain Front Wheel Drive) Transmission 4-speed Automatic,
Horse Power300 hp @ 6000 rpm

Cadillac developing stretched ATS-L just for China

Sat, 25 Jan 2014

To luxury automakers, long-wheelbase sedans are to China that crossovers and SUVs are to the US, so it isn't all that surprising any more when the latest sedan gets an extra couple of inches between the wheels to improve rear-seat comfort. According to Car News China, the next sedan to get the stretch will be the Cadillac ATS, which will increase the wheelbase by 10 centimeters (about four inches) to become the ATS-L.
Designed to go up against rivals like the BMW 335Li and the added-length Mercedes C-Class, the ATS-L will reportedly be built locally in China with an engine list that will grow as well. Currently, only the 2.0-liter turbo engine is offered in the ATS in China, but the ATS-L will get the full spectrum of ATS engines including the base 2.5-liter and the peppier 3.6-liter V6. This isn't the first time Cadillac has offered a China-specific stretched sedan either as the SLS dates back to 2006.

Next-gen Cadillac Escalade debuting October 7 in NYC

Wed, 14 Aug 2013

Cadillac will unveil the next Escalade in October, at an event in New York City. It will be the sole member of GM's large SUV family to not get a debut at the Texas State Fair, which we don't think is all that surprising, considering the kind of clientele attracted by the big Caddy.
The new truck, from the few teaser images and spy shots we've seen, has evolved with the rest of the Cadillac range. We've got a glimpse of its tall, thin headlights, which look like an evolution of what's on the current truck. Expect some kind of egg-crate grille, reminiscent of the new CTS and ATS, while Cadillac's CUE system should feature heavily in what we hope is a thoroughly revised cabin.
The event takes place on October 7, so check back then for more info on the all-new Escalade.

Cadillac logo losing its wreath?

Tue, 23 Jul 2013

The easily recognizable Cadillac logo dates back to the company's founding in the early 1900s, but over the last 110 years, there has been an on-again, off-again love affair with the wreath surrounding the crest. Cadillac's current badge design has used the wreath since the 1980s, but Automotive News is reporting that GM's luxury division is planning to ditch the laurel wreath for a cleaner-looking logo.
The new logo could make its debut as early as next month on a new concept car that will be revealed at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, although the report also says that it might be until 2015 before it makes its way to a production car. Even then, it doesn't like anything has been finalized yet, as the article also says that plans could still change.
As Cadillac looks to improve its global presence as a luxury automaker, the report says that a simpler logo could make it easier for designers to incorporate the badge onto the car - either in the grille or above the grille (possibly in a fashion similar to Mercedes-Benz). Head on over to the AN article, which shows the Cadillac logo dating back to its earliest design.
