Cadillac Seville Factory Limousine - Needs Repair on 2040-cars
Wichita, Kansas, United States
1981 Cadillac Seville factory limousine. Has about 132000 miles. Was in driving condition when started restoration about 10 years ago. Shop owner got very sick and could not finish work; nor could he resume after 1 year recovery. I am selling for a friend of mine, who does not want to finish restoration. Rear end was rebuilt right before restoration started- I believe it is a GM 12 bolt limited slip differential. Engine is the one-year-only 4-6-8 engine, which shuts down cylinders if not needed (similar to what is done today!). Vinyl roof was stripped off, repairs started on roof, trim removed and stored inside. Interior in fair shape. Not sure if I can get running again- if you sincerely interested, I will give it a try. $250 down via paypal within 48 hours; balance within 2 weeks. Vehicle must be picked up within 30 days or will be relisted. Email with any questions. Has a State of Minnesota clear clean title. |

GM's Reuss explains why Cadillac is heading to New York
Tue, 23 Sep 2014
"We're going to take it to a place [New York] to change the way that we do business around the brand of Cadillac." - Mark Reuss
General Motors product chief Mark Reuss elaborated Tuesday on Cadillac's move to New York in 2015, saying it will "elevate" the brand and allow it to reach new customers.
Cadillac mulling CTS Coupe successor after all
Thu, 04 Apr 2013The 2014 Cadillac CTS made a big splash last week at the New York Auto Show, but now that we've seen the sedan, we can start to wonder about whether coupe and wagon versions are in the cards. According to Edmunds, Cadillac is at least considering bringing back the CTS Coupe for a second generation, which seems like an even better chance since the brand's global marketing director, Jim Vurpillat, was quoted as saying that the car was the top-selling luxury coupe in the industry.
Of course, this goes against reports we heard last year that Caddy's coupe and wagon would live on just not under the CTS name, but the interview with Vurpillat has us hopeful for a next-generation CTS Coupe. If it does come to fruition, we would expect the new two-door to have a largely unique exterior design like the current CTS Coupe, to echo that of intended rivals like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and even the high-dollar BMW 6 Series.
2015 Cadillac Escalade on sale in April priced at $71,695*
Thu, 23 Jan 2014With the fourth-generation Cadillac Escalade set to go on sale in April, Cadillac has released the pricing data for its fullsize luxury SUV. While there's no retail configurator yet, the data posted on AOL Autos - and confirmed by Cadillac - shows that the 2015 Escalade will have a starting price of $71,695 (*not including $995 for destination).
This new starting price is about $8,000 more than the outgoing model, but Cadillac is quick to point out that the latest 'Slade is packed with more standard equipment in the new base Standard trim that actually puts it more on par with the midlevel Premium trim on the 2014 model (currently priced at $73,245). These new standard features include Magnetic Ride Control, LED headlights and taillights and 20-inch wheels.
Stepping up to the 2015 Escalade Luxury, the price increases to $75,695 and includes added equipment like 22-inch wheels, head-up display, power fold-and-tumble second-row seats and safety systems such as forward collision warning and lane departure warning. The top-rung 2015 Escalade Premium will start at $80,195 adding features such as a rear-seat entertainment system, illuminated exterior door handles and the Driver Assist Package consisting of front and rear automatic braking and adaptive cruise control.
