SWEET 1952 CHEVY BELAIR

Really good looking, good running, good driving car. Does not need anything to get in and cruise.

EXTERIOR: The paint is a bright blue that is sanded and flat now, some spots show primer, body is straight, NO rust!, most of the glass in really good shape ( cracked LF and RR ), frenched 59 caddy tail lights, shaved door handles, chrome grille and bumpers in nice shape, smoothed hood ....

INTERIOR: Tan leather seats out of a newer GM car, carpet dyed black in good shape, dash has custom pinstripping, original steering wheel, nice headliner, good door panels....

RUNNING GEAR: Brand new coker classic wide white walls, brand new steel artillery wheels and caps, Camaro clipped suspension, power steering, power brakes, later model 250 6 cyl engine, 350 turbo trans, 10 bolt gm rear end, all lights work....

Car runs, rides, and drives great down the road, does not follow cracks or pull strong to one side. the motor runs great, no problems with it, trans shifts and pulls good, jam up running gear. The body is 90% ready for a slick paint job, really straight sheet metal on this car. Far as mechanical there is no issues with it period. Car is being sold for a buddy of mine, I do have the signed title and car in my possession for this sale. However the car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end early.

2013 Chevy COPO Camaro announced with two new engines and manual option

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

Chevrolet is following up the 2012 COPO Camaro with another limited run of the drag-strip-ready production car for 2013. Ditching the superchargers, the 2013 COPO Camaro can only be equipped with one of three naturally aspirated V8 engines, and other new features include the option of a manual transmission, new front springs, some minor styling changes and a lower starting price of $86,000. All cars are designed to abide by the rules of the NHRA's Stock Eliminator or Super Stock classifications, depending on in which series buyers wish to enter their Chevrolet Camaro.
Returning for 2013 is the 427-cubic-inch V8 producing 425 horsepower, but the new engines include a 325-hp 350-CID V8 and a 375-hp 396-CID V8. Buyers can select to purchase all three engines, and each will be matched with the sequence number of that car; the track-only COPO cars will not have vehicle identification numbers and can't be registered for street use.
Chevrolet is also offering unique enthusiast-specific options such as a COPO Build Book and the opportunity for owners to help assemble their car's engine at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.

GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.

Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]

Mon, 27 May 2013

If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
