Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
THIS IS FROM AN ESTATE AND IT'S IN LAS VEGAS , NV 1954 CHEVROLET 2 DOOR; THE OWNER HAS PASSED AWAY, I THINK 2013. I JUST GOT THE CAR, IT STARTED RIGHT UP AND I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IT AROUND TOWN, BRAKES WORK WELL; THE FLOORS ARE EXCELLENT SOLID; UNDER CAR, EXCELLENT SOLID; THE OWNERS SON SAID , HE THOUGHT THE MOTOR HAD BEEN REBUILT; THIS CAR CAME FROM SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA; WINDSHIELD HAS A CRACK IN GLASS, ALSO DRIVERS DOOR; I THINK THE REAR BUMPER HAS BEEN REDONE. LOOK AT THE TRUNK PIX. I HAVE SHOWN THE ONLY RUST THAT I CAN FIND. THE CAR REALLY DOES NEED A REPAINT. THE DRIVERS DOOR SHOWS SIGNS OF BONDO. THE TRUNK LID LOOKS LIKE IT IS BLISTERED. CAR NEEDS PAINT; I THINK THE EXHAUST IS NEW. IT IS VERY QUIET GOING DOWN THE ROAD; THE HEADLINNER LOOKS ORIGINAL. YOU CAN DRIVE THIS CAR AS IS OR PAINT IT OR WHATEVER; IT'S JUST GREAT METAL; ESPECIALLY UNDER CAR. IT'S CLEAN, CLEAN ORIGINAL. THE MOTOR SOUNDS GOOD; THE GAS TANK IS NEW, PLASTIC TANK. GUAGES WORK; NOT SURE ON GAS GUAGE. I HAVENT DRIVEN IT IN THE DARK. I WOULD ASSUME IT MAY NEED SOMETHING. JEFF 218-464-2821 I ALSO CAN HELP ARRANGE SHIPPING. |

Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.
2014 Chevrolet Malibu gets more torque, more room and inspiration from the Impala
Fri, 31 May 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, having stared at the Impala across the showroom floor for a year, gets nips and tucks all over inspired by its larger brother. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the base car will get a stop-start system and 23 city miles per gallon, 35 highway, each number representing a one-mpg improvement over the 2013 car. Output is 196 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.
Opt for the 2.0-liter turbo and, while power holds steady at 259 hp, torque goes up by 14 percent to a striking 295 lb-ft (a figure Chevy calls best in the class). The final details include newly programmed transmission shift points and faster shifts, for better engaging and enjoying the added power.
Looks-wise, the grille's been reshaped to be more in line with the new Chevrolet look, a narrower upper grille hovering over a larger lower grille.
GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups
Mon, 14 Oct 2013General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
