1956 Chevy Belair Sports Sedan

To begin, this vehicle has been completely rebuilt and restored by D & P Classic Chevy out of Hunt. Bch. Calif. As seen on TV – “Chop Cut Rebuild”. D&P is world renowned in their restoration of 55-56-57 Tri-Pack Chevys. Classic Auto Appraisers of Irvine, Ca. appraised this vehicle January 2014 at $63,500.00 providing instant equity to the buyer. The appraisal is readily available for your review and includes additional pics.

This is an original Calif. Car out of the Van Nuys plant that is a ground up restoration down to every single nut and bolt including all inner latches, pins, rollers, guides, etc. The 4 door sports sedan with “no posts” between the front and rear doors is rare and hard to find. The interior was kept as close to original as possible with the re-upholstered seating, headliner, door panels, dash etc. Body was taken to bare metal meticulously sanded, primed and painted with a beautiful two tone CTS red and pearl white with just a tint of red. There is NO bondo on this vehicle. It is fitted with a Pioneer Sound System, custom gauges, new carpet, Tilt Steering, Power steering and Air Conditioning  etc. The Power Train includes a ZZ 383 Stroker Motor, Edelbrock Intake with a 770 Holley Carb. Every Piece and part has been polished or chromed. The transmission is a 700R4 with overdrive built be the infamous Art Carr and combined with the engine pumps 425 hp to the rear wheels! Speedo is calibrated and matches the wheel and tire size. Wheels are one of a kind designed by D&P. Brand New everything including the cross member, bushings, mounts, nuts and bolts. The front and rear of the car have been dropped as noticed in the pics and includes front disc brakes, slotted and drilled, a front sway bar kit that handles as nice as any Corvette. The undercarriage includes a dual exhaust and 10 bolt posi rear end. All Stainless & Chrome interior and exterior has been restored or refinished. The car has been garage kept in California. It has 2,700 miles on the entire drive train. The vehicle has won numerous awards and turns heads everywhere it goes. More pictures are available upon request. An itemized and detailed build sheet is included and can be provided to the buyer. If there is an interest, an entire CD catalog is available from start to finish. There is $100k invested in this vehicle with receipts to prove. There is no desperation to sell the vehicle. The owner is selling for business venture purposes and the car will only be shown by appointment.  When you’re ready to buy a piece of American History, please call 714-719-0071 or you may email paulm@coastalcarriers.com.

2014 Chevrolet Impala [w/video]

Can A Fleet Queen Become a Fullsize King?
On paper, the Chevrolet Impala is a pretty strong seller, posting annual sales that have hovered right around 170,000 units for the last two years, but it only takes one trip to practically any rental car agency to discover where the majority of those sales have come from. In fact, General Motors told Autoblog that a full 70 percent of Impala sales last year went to fleet companies for things like rental cars and government vehicles. Logic tells us that this is neither good for resale values nor name equity, so Chevrolet is getting ready to roll out an all-new Impala with improved comfort, styling and technology, hoping to turn the tables on its retail-to-fleet ratio.
Chevrolet's sedans have come on quite strong in the last few months with the introduction of the Cruze diesel and the SS sedan, but while these will likely be low-volume sellers, there's more pressure for the new Impala to perform well as GM looks to slash fleet sales and compete with the wide variety of full-size sub-luxury sedans. Riding on a platform shared with the Buick LaCrosse and Cadillac XTS, the 2014 Impala will compete against the Hyundai Azera, Ford Taurus and Toyota Avalon on the more traditional side, while also looking to take a bite out of somewhat sportier models like the Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger twins and the Nissan Maxima. We headed to sunny San Diego to see if this totally new Impala can stand on its own without the assistance of fleet companies and rental agencies. [w/video

Chevrolet Malibu gets across-the-board price cuts, hopes to dig out of slump

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

To say that things aren't going well for the newly redesigned 2013 Chevrolet Malibu is a pretty sizable understatement. Reports have been swirling about the Malibu getting an emergency design refresh, less than a year after its introduction, as well as having its production at the Fairfax Assembly Plant halted twice already this year for excessive inventory. Now, Motor Trend is reporting that the midsize sedan will be receiving price drops across the board ranging from $300 on a number of models up to $770 on the 1LT trim; offsetting some of MSRP drop, though, the destination charge has increased from $760 to $810.
Without destination, the entry-level Malibu LS now starts at $21,995, which is still about $300 more than a Honda Accord and about $300 less than the segment's top-selling Toyota Camry. This new pricing also drops the price of the Eco, 2LT and 3LT trims by $300. The LTZ trim has dropped by $415, meaning that the Malibu's top dog now starts at just under $30,000, excluding destination.
Here are the new starting prices for all eight of the Malibu trim levels compared to the previous prices for the 2013 model year (including destination):

Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial

Sat, 16 Mar 2013

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
