Offered for sale is this very nice 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Hardtop. This car was the subject of a restoration many years ago. The paint is well over 20 years old. The car is a good solid car that is now showing signs of flaws in the paint. The paint has several flaws and checking. This car has been the benefactor of an engine rebuild approximately 6 years ago. The engine is a solid lifter 283 and has a 1957 Rochester Fuel Injection Unit 7014800, which was rebuilt at the same time. The car even has the very hard to find 1110905 Distributor dated 7D23. The engine block is not original to the car. The car has a close ratio Muncie transmission with a Hurst Shifter. The car runs and drives very well. The interior is in good condition overall. The radio is out of the dash, but can be seen in the trunk. I don’t know if it works. The engine compartment is clean and well sorted. This car is a Bel Air, and was originally a Black Car. The interior was originally Black and Red which is now obviously changed. Overall, this is a great car to enjoy as it sits, or is very deserving of a quality repaint. Refreshed 2014 Camaro confirmed for New York debut
Thu, 07 Mar 2013We've already seen leaked specs and potential spy shots, but the refreshed 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show in a few weeks.
Besides a tweaked exterior and the possibility of a high-output LS7 under the hood, we really don't know much else about the 2014 Camaro, but here's hoping for an improved interior, too.
In addition to the refreshed Camaro, Chevrolet will also be showing off the recently introduced Chevrolet SS, making its debut on the auto show circuit, and we'll also get our first look at the C7 Corvette coupe and convertible side-by-side.

Sat, 16 Feb 2013Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.

Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
