This is a very solid 1957 chevy Bel Air. The floor pans have been redone and the truck is been relined. There is one minor rust spot on the bottom of the driver's side front fender - shown in the pictures below. This is an original 283 V8 automatic car built in the St. Louis plant. Under the new title rules in North Carolina, this car was inspected by the state DMV for authenticity and verified. The title is clear. This auction not only includes the very nice car but most all the parts necessary to rebuild the car - about $3,000 in parts alone. You can see from the pictures that there are many new parts including the front hood bar, the rear bumper light in the original GM box, a complete air conditioning unit with the fan unit, compressor, hoses, etc, window gasket, wiring harnesses, small gaskets and trim gaskets, side view mirror and more. There is an original glass window washer container and the "large" radio with the glass tubes including the speaker. There are also some duplicates like an extra starter, bumper, trim pieces, and others. The things I had on the list that were still missing were the passenger side vent window, the exhaust pipes and muffler (it has the exhaust manifolds and connector pipe), and the radiator support bar. It will also need the hoses and belts but that is normal. See the many pictures below.
If you chose the very reasonable "buy-it-now" price, I will deliver the car to any location within 300 miles of Charlotte, NC. If you are outside the 300 miles, let me know before you buy-it-now and we can make some arrangements to pay part of your shipping costs or add a little more and I will bring the car to you, if it is close enough. No shipping is provided except as noted above. On Oct-08-13 at 13:21:10 PDT, seller added the following information:

Next Corvette ZR1 to get 700 horsepower?
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Word has it General Motors may offer as much as 700 horsepower in the C7 Corvette ZR1. Motor Trend reports the next Corvette Z06 will continue to rely on its naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 engine for thrust, but the lump will deliver substantially more power. How much more? MT says the engine could deliver up to 600 ponies. That's a jump of 95 horsepower over the current Z06, though no figures have been finalized as of yet. Right now, GM is reportedly waiting to see what sort of grunt it can glean from the next ZR1.
The automaker has already made it clear it will resurrect the LT5 name for the new supercharged V8, and if GM is already pulling 600 from the Z06, the big dog ZR1 would theoretically offer 700 horsepower. Either way, the range-topping Corvette will be suitably insulated from its less potent siblings. Stay tuned. We aren't likely to see the Z06 for at least a year, with the ZR1 trailing along at some point there after.
C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey
Mon, 25 Feb 2013If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.
Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting? Vote in our poll below, then feel free to leave a few lines in Comments.
