* Most important reason for selling* Need to sell quick to help pay for an overseas cancer treatment ($17,000) for my aunt with stage 4 breast cancer. Her appointment is August 7th. Only has a 1 month or 2 to live :(
On to the Bel Air:
Newly rebuilt Chevy 305, sounds good, short cherry bomb exhaust, 4 door, but the 2 rear doors are shaved smooth but they do open and close, has older flat black paint from previous owner. There is no on-going rust. All rust was stopped and repaired by him. The steel body had previous rust, but was replaced with fiberglass and bondo. (mostly where the backseat is, and a tiny bit round the bottom front doors and driver floor pan. The car has a new 700R transmission put it right before I bought it and rebuilt axles. The car has been lowered and has updated suspension. I put in a new gas tank, but when you top it off, it splashes out somewhere in the neck but doesn't leak. Front window is cracked, and one side window. No engine leaks NONE! No leaks in the driveway!, car runs great. Very reliable. I would drive it to another state! Its very solid! I work in the Gulf of Mexico in the oil and gas industry 8 months a year, so the car sits in the car port most of the time. Everytime I come home, it fires right up and I drive it to shows and cruise the beach. Tires are so so , you could go another year or two on the them. Lights, blinkers, turn signals, windows, door handles all work.
This car attracts attention and gets thumbs up where ever you go.
This car doesn't have any options except fog lights and oooga horn.
The temp gauge and tachometer gauge works, and the fuel gauge is kind of half off. but the other gauges do not work.
If you want to remember the old days and hop in and cruise, and maybe you would like a car that you can still drive while you work on it, then this car is for you.
I bought it the way you see it 2 years ago. I wanted something fun to drive and cruise in. My friends all have old cars like this.
I'm trying to tell you everything now, because I will be at work, and my father will have to take care of the sale for me while I'm out here in the Gulf.
No reserve, I have a few people interested in the car now, but some haven't come to view it. I have the right to end the auction early due to a local sale.
Shipping: I would help get the car shipped on your dime. The car is drivable and I would trust it to get me anywhere in the state.
$500 Non-Refundable deposit due 24 hours after aucton ending. The remainder must be paid in full before 7 days, or before or day you pick up the car. I do except cash, paypal (after it clears into bank). The title will be given to you after the money clears.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite
Mon, 21 Jan 2013Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.
Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why
Sun, 27 Jan 2013Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.
If you have about five minutes and you can't get enough information about the new 'Vette, then check out the videos posted below.
