This 1957 Chevy Bel-Aire Hardtop is an absolutely beautiful show-ready car! It looks stock but it has plenty of modern upgrades like a high performance 327 V-8, modern Air conditioning, 4 wheel disc brakes, and all kinds of power accessories. How about those radial whitewalls with wire wheels!

.

I love that stainless and aluminum Bel-Aire Trim, the perfect expression of 1950's design exuberance!

.

There's a lot of chrome and stainless on a '57 Chevy, and every bit of it is top notch and excellent on this one! The gold anodyzed trim is correct and nice, too.

.

Spectacular! note the black California license plate.

.

Note the subtle tail lights with bowtie logo, and of course, dual exhausts!

.

Straight bodywork, this car is awesome in every respect.

.

Wow! Look at that interior! looks stock, and it's all new and fresh, and done in correct fabric and patterns.

.

Incredible Dashboard and instruments. It's like getting in a new '57 Chevy !

.

Ooh. This is nice. The COLD Air Conditioning works off the original vent switch, that's the level of attention to detail there is on this car.

.

Every place on this car is finished nicely.

.

Lovely

.

The engine bay is incredible - clean, and high quality components throughout. Note the Aluminum radiator, power disc brake booster, polished valvecovers and intake manifold and jet coated exhaust manifolds. pretty pretty pretty

.

attention to detail everywhere you look.

.

The high quality paint job goes into every area of the body - every surface looks like the top of the fender.

.

Detail everywhere. here we see the fenderwell on the right side.

.

Cleanliness. Preparation. Detail.

.

Nice Ford 9" rear axle, sway bar, and 4 wheel disc brakes show here.

.

Nice, clean and solid underneath!

.

Clean and carpeted trunk. Again, the attention to detail and cleanliness of this car impresses me a lot, and I think you'll be impressed too when this car rolls off the truck and into your garage!

.

Pretty everywhere you look!

.

Although no car is perfect or flawless including our '57 Chevy, this one is mighty beautiful !

GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.

First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild

Tue, 12 Feb 2013

This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.
