1957 Chevrolet Bel Air150210 Belair Sport Coupe on 2040-cars
Gomer, Ohio, United States
It was rebuilt from the ground up, 30 over, mild cam,
Holly carb, dual exhaust with cherry bombs, 4 speed tranny, posi traction and lots of chrome goodies under the
hood. This is a true 60's hot rod and it will light up the tires in the first 3 gears. Brand new 14" Goodyear
radials on rally wheels. Less than 50 miles on the tires. Since I have owned it I replaced the hood and deck trim
as well as new headlight bezels and hood rockets, also new carpet and floor mats. Glass, Chrome and stainless are
fantastic with one minor door ding in one piece of the right rear qtr trim. Floors, frame, and trunk are super
clean and the bottom of the car is very clean. Paint is 30+ year old lacquer and shines super but is showing it's
age but this car is super straight. Interior was redone years ago and is still beautiful. A couple of chips on the
steering wheel is all I see, but would touch up easy. Headliner is show quality, near perfect. After market gauges,
tissue dispencer, am/fm cassette player with the antenna under the dash. While this car is not perfect in 17 years
I have never taken it to a show that it did not win an award. It has a super stance, looks right, drives tight and
it's FAST. No power steering or brakes. Notice the Fuel Injection logos on the fenders. IT'S NOT A FUELLY, IT'S
CARBURATED.

Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4
Wed, 29 May 2013Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!
Watch this time-lapse build of the Chevy SS for NASCAR
Fri, 08 Feb 2013There's only about a week left until we get our first look at the production version of the 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan, but Chevrolet NASCAR teams have been looking at the race version of the car all winter. Autoweek has posted a really neat time-lapse video showing just a portion of what it takes to build one of NASCAR's new Gen6 stock cars.
Though the video is quite brief, it does show almost the entire build process starting with just the car's nose, and it gives us a good look at how integral the template is to the final product. As a bonus, Hendrick Motorsports also provided some videos showing two of its teams performing pit stop tests over the winter. The second video shows some of the more detailed aspects of the racecar's rear end, including the stock-looking trunk cutout and a newly mandated rear bumper extension that will be used on super speedways like Daytona and Talladega.
To see what Team Chevy has been up to all off-season, check out all three videos posted after the jump.
Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.
