I believe this car to be an ex-drag car. Has a strong running sbc engine and an automatic trans that has reverse but no forward. The body shows good in photos but is an older restoration and will need attention again. The floors will need replaced also. Someone patched them back in the day. Could just put carpet down and call it good, but i prefer to do a car like this the right way. No drivers door glass and the left rear door glass is cracked. Rest of the glass is good and in tack. ALL of the body trim is on the car. The bumpers are straight and could use new chrome. Some lights work. Interior is gutted but still has the folding rear seat. It has had a fuel cell put in instead of the regular gas tank, probably due to being raced. Brakes are up and working great. I have the interior stainless for the door panels but no panels. I also have the inside window surrounds. The car is a Project and should be considered as one. Its a great start on a car and priced as such. Im sure im forgetting alot of stuff that any serious buyer would want to know so i am including my Cell number in the description so u can call and talk directly to me. Feel free to ad it to ur "watch list" so i can weed out and tire kickers... thats who usually watches auctions and not bids. The car has been stored for many years and has just recently been available to the public for sale. I have it listed here AND on a few local sites, so if it sells locally I WILL DELETE ALL BIDS AND END THE AUCTION. Im doing a short auction because i dont expect it to last long and i dont see any reason to drag out auctions. If ur serious, please call the number and i can answer any and all questions u might have and also send u any detailed photos u might need. 989-670-2700

Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.
Corvette Stingray designer lists five goals of new exterior shape
Fri, 12 Apr 2013Redesigning an icon is a difficult task, especially when you've got a blank sheet of paper in front of you and the all-new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is intended to be your final objective.
General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
Why Cadillac thinks it needs to succeed in Europe to sell cars elsewhere
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Ward's Auto has taken an interesting look at the renewed focus General Motors is showing towards Cadillac in Europe. Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe (pictured), says in order for the luxury brand to thrive in China, it first needs to succeed in the old country. The reason? Chinese buyers look to Europe for cues as to what's deemed worthy of the term "luxury." There are hurdles to the plan, however. In addition to the fact that the EU is flooded with high-end nameplates, GM doesn't necessarily have the distribution network in place to put buyers behind the wheel.
Combine that with persistent economic woes and Cadillac's checkered past marred by a lack of diesel engine options and a bankrupt distributor, and the road ahead for the brand looks like less of an uphill climb and more like a straight-up cliff face. But Docherty is optimistic and says she has a plan for the brand. We recommend heading over to Ward's for a closer look at the full read.
