I am offering my 1957 Chevy 210 2dr sedan project car for sale.  This is a restoration that I started and also collected a good amount of new parts for.  The car has a clean transferable NEW YORK registration in my name. (There are NO TITLES on NEW YORK CARS IN 1957, the regi is the LEGIT ownership. PAPERWORK CLEAR).

This is what has been done.  The body was media blasted to the bare metal and put into epoxy prime.  What you see is what it is.  The passenger side has new sections welded into place as well the inner/outer rocker panel.  The car is still going to need metal work.  I have brand new front floor pans, brand new center hump for transmission as well as inner/outer rocker for driverside. The floor braces will need some attention.  The car DOES have the original floor in it for the most part but just like any typical 5-6-7 they have problem areas that need attention! Parts are very reasonable for these and this car is an easy fix, not a basket case. Chassis is great front to back.  Has original 3.56 ratio open rear (car was manual 3 speed 6 cylinder when new).

I have purchased automatic brake pedal as well as brand new front tinted windshield, new sheet metal (as mentioned), front coil springs, 4 tubualr complete control arms (loaded), brand new green tint 6 piece side glass kit, se dan glass felt kit, brand new disc brake conversion kit, and new front splash pan.

This translate to THOUSANDS in new parts.  My goal here was to go all modern RESTO MOD. The "BUY IT NOW" price includes the gold I purchased for it.  I have a 2007 Chevy SILVERADO 4.8l LS series V8 with matching 460LE automatic 4 speed transmission . COMPLETE with ALL and I do mean ALL accessories, wiring harness and computer.  This set up is worth $4000 plus on it's lonesome.  I have odometer statement from LATE MODEL Southern salvage yard that states it's original mileage at 73,xxx.  Engine/Trans looks as if it's day one from GM. THIS ONLY GOES WITH CAR FOR BUY IT NOW PRICE. DOES NOT GO WITH CAR JUST HITTING RESERVE.

I have the original rear seat redone in black vinyl.  I also have an OLDS Cutlass interior in the car for the meantime . I was planning to use the more modern 60/40 G body seats and have made to match the rear.

There was going to be no expense spared the way I was going.  There ARE NO front fenders with this deal.  They were cut up for a flip nose and were tossed. There are no bumpers, the rear was missing the front was junk.  Each and every part is made new for these cars! IF you don't have the wallet for new there is plenty of good useable items that can be found on E Bay to make this complete.

The steering column and box were tossed with the intention of rack and pinion steering.  I do have an 80's tilt GM column that goes and can retrofit. 90% of the side stainless I do have.  Missing a few pieces, again no big deal it's all made new and there is plenty of good used out there. I am including 4 steel 14" GM disc brake wheels as well as what is on the car. The car will be loaded with all brand new/used parts with great care.

YES, I do have the doors.  They were off to be redone.  They are very very nice.  NO HOLES in them.  Very clean bottoms as well.

The only reason I stopped is because I have a ton of money in my NOVA that is near complete.  I have not touched this car in a year. I'm looking to pass it on at this point.  I want to see somebody else enjoy it.  In the event it DOES NOT sell I don't plan on relisting it.  I already have much invested plus my time.  Not thrilled bout letting it go but if the money is there it is going to go.

I am in CONGERS, NY 10920. That is where the car will have to be towed from.  IF you aren't coming yourself keep in mind that you are responsible for all fees to transport this vehicle. I DO NOT live on a major road.  A HUGE CAR CARRIER CAN NOT go down my street.  I have a friend who has a home on a main road and is in the towing business.  It will be responsibility of owner to pay him his fees to tow car at his home and store.  If you are coming with a small rig or a trailer there is no issue.

The car is priced in it's market value.  NO MATTER what it is "THE HOT ONE" a 57 Chevy.  That can't be taken from it.  Many may not know what to do or have forsight.  The vision I had was an easy $50-75k car when finished.  I've been in this my whole life and done many, sadly time becomes an issue.  These days I don't have the time.  Just looking to clear it out so somebody else can enjoy it.

PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS IF ANYTHING IS UNCLEAR.....

I AM MAKING THIS CLEAR IN WRITING I HAVE NO TIME TO PLAY GAMES. THE PRICE YOU BID IS WHAT YOU PAY.  THE ONLY FORM OF PAYMENTS I ACCEPT ARE CASH, TRANSFER OR BANK CHECK.  NO I O US, NO CREDIT CARDS, NO PAY PAL!!!! (THAT IS ONLY FOR $500 deposit).  If you are one of those guys who is scared to do E bay transactions and have to ask your wife, this isn't for you.  I have purchased many cars off E bay and zero issues getting the people paid I purchased the cars from so the same should apply to the buyer of this car.   Thank you in advance.

C7 Corvette makes inaugural ad appearance in Chevy's first spot with new slogan

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" tagline has finally been run into the ground, replaced with the Bowtie brand's "Find New Roads" slogan that's part of parent General Motors' plan to unify its everyday brand's marketing efforts worldwide. The new Chevrolet campaign was ushered in on prime time last night during the Grammy Awards on CBS, and the first spot, a 90-second full-line ad, also marks the first appearance of the 2014 Corvette Stingray in a commercial.
Being a full-line ad, the commercial is composed of vignettes centered on different vehicles in the brand's lineup. The all-new 2014 Impala also makes its first commercial appearance in dapper fashion, and time is spent on a skateboarding Sonic and a bouquet of brightly colored Spark hatchbacks driven by fashionable women. The ad starts and ends with Chevy's green halo car, the Volt, along with a young girl with her robotic dog (yes, really).
Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" campaign got off to a rocky start in the fall of 2010, but it did last for a couple of years with some tweaks. This new one, "Find New Roads" seems more intent on drawing new customers into the fold than the outgoing tagline, which seemed to play more toward the brand faithful. It admittedly reminds us more than a little the short-lived "Find Your Own Road" Saab motto (which, we note, was conceived while the Swedish brand was under GM's control), but no matter, we still think it's got more long-term potential than "Runs Deep."

These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky

Fri, 24 Aug 2012

It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).

"Turbo" Chevrolet Camaro is a 700-HP fantasy car come to life [w/video]

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

For a concept car built to promote an animated movie about a snail that wants to go racing, this thing ain't half bad. The outsized monster you see before you started life as a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and then went through a big-time Hollywood makeover before being positioned on the Chevrolet stand here in Chicago.
This 2013 "Turbo" Camaro Coupe is getting the promotion machine ratcheted up for a new DreamWorks tale by the name of, you guessed it, Turbo. Coming this summer, the movie will follow one snail's quest to become a race driver worthy of making the cut at the Indy 500. Like many DreamWorks vehicles before it, we're guessing that the petrolhead snail will star in a movie that adults (especially racing fans) with have no trouble watching with their kids. Check out the trailer below to see if you agree.
As for the car, we're told that it is "instrumental" in transforming Turbo from snail into racer. Helping the beastly pony car in this mighty task, is an ankle-cracking front splitter matched by a ungodly huge rear wing out back, a COPO hood and a supercharged (yes, supercharged) V8 engine making more than 700 horsepower. 24-inch wheels all the way around - 10-inches wide in front and 15-inches wide in back - should allow the "Turbo" Camaro to hook up with ease, as well.
