Year:1964 Mileage:3280

Freeport, Illinois, United States

Up for auction is my 1964 Chevy Bel Air Wagon! There is no title! I will give bill of sale! The only things I can say are missing, are the hood hinges, a piece of trim that runs along the bottom of the passenger side, and a piece of trim on the rear drivers side door. The picture shows the drivers side quarter panel trim missing, but I do have it. The center cap emblem is missing on the original steering wheel, but the chrome ring that goes around it is there. There are some holes in the front drivers, and passenger side floor pans. There is some rusted areas on the body (shown in pictures). There front and rear bumpers are VERY NICE still. The grill, head light bezels, etc are still very good , there are some tears in the front seat, visors, head liner, and passenger side front door panel. The back seat, and panels are still in what I would say is very good shape (may need some cleaning) All of the original dash is there, including the factory radio, lighter, ash tray, butler trash bag, etc...and still in very nice shape for the most part. The body is very straight! There is a crack in front windshield, but all other original glass is still there and good. The rear doors still have the ashtrays. All window cranks, and handles are there. There are some pretty decent rims on the car. There is an engine in it now, currently not running. The frame is good. This is a very good road worthy project car, or parts car... Buyer is responsible for shipping/pickup (I will help get it loaded). I will help get it loaded. There is a $100 non-refundable deposit due  at end of auction. Would like the vehicle picked up within a week of the auctions end. If the vehicle is paid for and you need a little more time to get it, message me and we may be able to work something out. Thank you, and good luck.

I also want to mention that I know someone, that has several of these for parts if you need any.

Also the mileage reads 03,280k...when I entered it in the box on my listing, it automatically changes it to 3,280k...So I believe it to be 103,280 actual miles.

First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild

Tue, 12 Feb 2013

This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.

Refreshed 2014 Camaro confirmed for New York debut

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

We've already seen leaked specs and potential spy shots, but the refreshed 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show in a few weeks.
Besides a tweaked exterior and the possibility of a high-output LS7 under the hood, we really don't know much else about the 2014 Camaro, but here's hoping for an improved interior, too.
In addition to the refreshed Camaro, Chevrolet will also be showing off the recently introduced Chevrolet SS, making its debut on the auto show circuit, and we'll also get our first look at the C7 Corvette coupe and convertible side-by-side.

GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.
