Bloomfield, New Jersey, United States
Up for your consideration is this true survivor 1953 Chevy 150 2 door sedan with some mild custom work.Due to a non-paying buyer at last auction,I am re-posting after a long wait for money that didnt meterialize. To begin there is a late model 350 V8 engine and turbo 350 3 speed automatic all installed and in good running/driving order, with the 12 volt conversion done.A '57 Chevy rear and new springs in the back.New 600 CFM Edelbrock, new true dual exhaust, dual reservior master cylinder and wide white radial tires with chrome reverse wheels. The interior is mostly stock, the dash ,doorpanels rear seat and headliner are in good condition the front bench however will need some repair/recovering.The shifter has been nicely moved to the floor and will need some new carpet and padding,as the factory rubber mat required some adjustment for the shifter. The floors, trunk, rockers and sheet metal are in amazing original condition with just surface rust,no rot or rust through. The body has some surface rust around a few pieces of trim, and on the outter rockers (PICTURED) nothing rotted or any holes.Body appears to have an older enamel paint with some pinstripes and a visor,it all looks nice from 10 foot but will require a re-do for a showpiece. The chromework is all in great shape.as well as the stainless moldings. All the rust is pictured and I can supply all pictures you may need, and I can answer any intelligent questions. This is a great looker and driver as is and would make a great showpiece with minimal efforts. We invite any interested partys to come view the car,we are located very near Giants Stadium in N.J.Please email for an appointment or call (201) 696-8376 before 10 PM PLEASE I have set a reserve to protect my investment money,Please dont email and ask to lower the price.I reserve the right to cancel the ad if the car gets sold locally.Buyer pays for transportation.I can assist with loading and can make a delivery within 100 miles for a fee.THANKS....GOOD LUCK GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!! |

Watch this time-lapse build of the Chevy SS for NASCAR
Fri, 08 Feb 2013There's only about a week left until we get our first look at the production version of the 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan, but Chevrolet NASCAR teams have been looking at the race version of the car all winter. Autoweek has posted a really neat time-lapse video showing just a portion of what it takes to build one of NASCAR's new Gen6 stock cars.
Though the video is quite brief, it does show almost the entire build process starting with just the car's nose, and it gives us a good look at how integral the template is to the final product. As a bonus, Hendrick Motorsports also provided some videos showing two of its teams performing pit stop tests over the winter. The second video shows some of the more detailed aspects of the racecar's rear end, including the stock-looking trunk cutout and a newly mandated rear bumper extension that will be used on super speedways like Daytona and Talladega.
To see what Team Chevy has been up to all off-season, check out all three videos posted after the jump.
Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta
Wed, 13 Mar 2013Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.
Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1
Mon, 13 Jan 2014
The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
