 Chopped 1952 Chevy

It has been nosed, decked, frenched headlights, chopped 5 1/2 " and widened the roof 2". I have done some other little changes to the body to my liking, like removing the belt line where the chrome went around the bottom of the windows and extending the drip rail about 6". Original windshield that I had cut and installed, Original back window laid down for that fastback look. Driveline is out of a 72 Chevy Chevelle, 350 that has been rebuilt by the previous owner, with a mild cam, redone double hump heads, aluminum intake and Edelbrock carb. Th350, with new seal. B&M shifter that shifts great. 10 Bolt Chevy rear end with 411 gears and 2" lowering blocks. Aluminum radiator, Rack-n-pinion steering with power disc brakes, Tilt steering column,PS. newer tires. interior is in pretty good shape. Power driver seat. The frame is solid, the floors are also solid with some patches in them. There are a couple body mounts that the previous owner had fixed. The body is in good shape, The chop turned out great. Back side windows are affixed and do not roll down and are plexi-glass as are the vent windows and drivers window. Door windows roll up and down as they should. I have pictures on my phone of the chop. Painted flat black. The car is not a perfect show car, its a driver, a very nice and cool driver. Everything works except the wipers. The car runs and drives really good.

I tried to be as honest as I can and remember everything about the car. There is no warranties or guaranties. Car is sold in as is condition. Please if you have any questions ask them before the auction ends. Please call or text, only if you are interested-7169074sixsix0.

Joe Flacco wins C7 Corvette along with MVP honors

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

As part of a longstanding tradition, the MVP of Super Bowl XLVII, Joe Flacco, quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, was given a new car directly after the game and trophy celebrations. For 2013, that car is a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and it was presented to Flacco by Rick Flick of Banner Chevrolet, a dealership in New Orleans that was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 before returning to prominence as the only Chevy dealer in Orleans Parish.
Last year, Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning took home a 2012 Corvette GS Centennial Edition. Manning also won in 2008, when he selected a Cadillac Escalade Hybrid as his reward. In 2011, quarterback Aaron Rodgers accepted the keys to a Camaro convertible.
Though we're most definitely an auto-obsessed group, we did watch the Big Game along with nearly everyone else in America. And we've gotta say, as if winning the Super Bowl and receiving the Tiffany-designed Pete Rozelle Trophy wasn't enough for the multi-millionaire MVP athletes, a brand-new C7 seems like an awfully generous prize. Hot Wheels Camaro to make big debut at Indy

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

Chevrolet handed over the keys to 33 Hot Wheels Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 festival cars this week. Race directors get the luxury of driving the droptops around Indianapolis in an ongoing tradition with roots all the way back to the 1960s. The stunt is supposed to remind area residents that the Indy 500 is right around the corner. The cars are our first look at the special Camaro Hot Wheels Edition in convertible form, and they are slated to head to dealers after a one-time production run. The cars also represent the first time in history full-size Hot Wheels have been offered for sale by an automaker.
The cars will be available in both the previously seen coupe bodystyle and this convertible configuration, and will feature metallic blue paint and special wheels with the iconic redline accent. Buyers will be able to choose between the V6-powered 2LT trim and the V8-powered 2SS guise.
Hot Wheels says the original Custom Camaro toy was one of the original 16 1:64-scale diecasts, and it remains one of the company's most valuable collector items today.

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
