You are bidding on a nice and original 1954 Chevy 2 door 210 model piece of American history. This car was recently frame on restored about 5 years ago and was decent looking but I went a step forward and had it repainted to make it look even better. Once my body man got it taken apart he made the statement that it had very little filler and was very straight for a car of this year. While it was apart I had some pieces re chromed to add to the beauty of this one. This car is all original with the exception of a set of Cragar old style wheels that I bought and put on it, it just enhanced the look, I have the original wheels and hubcaps if the buyer wants them. The floor pans and trunk area seem to be in good shape and solid. The car is a blast to drive and it runs and shifts just as it should. I included quite a few photos for you viewing but if you have questions I am available to answer them in a timely manner. Remember this car is 59 years old and it's not perfect nor do I represent it as such however, if you are looking for one to cruise around in and get those heads to turning then look no further. There are not many of these old 2 doors left that you can get in and drive away. I almost forgot, the interior is in good shape as well with some fading on the carpet but it's not ripped or torn up anywhere. I can deliver the car for $1,25 per mile within a 250 mile radius of zip code 32536 or you can handle that yourself. I will help anyway I can and I appreciate your bids. I expect a $500.00 deposit within 3 days of the auction end and all remaining funds within 10 days. I accept cash, wire transfers, or cashier's checks but, the car nor title will be handed over until all funds are accounted for. Please email through ebay messages or call (850) 683-1142 or cell, (850) 305-6209. Take this one home!

Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

Sun, 01 Dec 2013

The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.

Chevrolet SS previewed by Holden VF Commodore SS V show car

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

It won't be long before we see the official, production-ready Chevrolet SS sedan (hint: it will be revealed this weekend). And to tide us over until all of the official details are released about the US-spec version, we have this: the Holden VF Commodore SS V show car, a performance-oriented brother to the Calais V that debuted earlier in the week.
What we really want to know about the SS V is what lies underhood, but General Motors' Australian arm is keeping that under wraps until the Chevy model breaks cover this weekend. Nevertheless, it's obvious that the SS V will be a serious performer, with all sorts of aggressive cues driving that home on the car's exterior. Take a look at those 20-inch billet aluminum wheels that hide big Brembo brake calipers up front, the sculpted hood and front fascia, the wide air intakes with LED running lights and the quad exhaust pipes out back. It's like the Pontiac G8 GXP never even left us.
Inside, there's a sporty-looking interior with aluminum accents that mix in with black leather and suede surfaces, all tied together in the middle with an eight-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system. It looks great, and again, while we don't know anything regarding powertrain details, it makes us oh-so happy to see a manual shifter smack dab in the middle of the center console.

Chevrolet planning low-cost Corvette under Stingray?

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

If you're burnt out on musings about the Chevrolet Corvette, you'll want to go ahead and skip this post. Motor Trend reports General Motors is hard at work on a low-cost version of the seventh-generation sports car for 2015. Rumored to be called the Corvette Coupe, the car will forgo the Stingray and skip the 450-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine in favor of a 5.3-liter V8 with under 400 ponies. If you're keeping track, that's a shade of the same engine found behind the headlights of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
The report also suggests the Coupe will receive a number of aesthetic tweaks to separate it from the Stingray, including different front and rear fascias as well as new front fenders and a rear diffuser. Motor Trend says the point of all this is to cut the car's price tag, which means we may see a Corvette on showroom floors for less than $50,000 if this car comes to fruition.
