The 1970 K-5 Blazer is not as rare as the 69 which they only made 4935 of but the 70 was right behind it with 11,527 that were produced and after 43 years many of these are rusted out and in the bone yard. The high NADA value of this rig is 30k and average is 11,500k look it up for your self. This K-5 is in excellent condition it has spent the large majority of its life in a garage and is rust free it currently has a new motor 5k on it with valve guides that are set up to run with ethanol fuel, rv cam, new rebuilt transmission and transfer case np 205, 307 gears in front and rear so it will run 75 mph down the freeway with no strain on the motor, new brake pads and drums, new master cylinder and booster, new leaf springs, new fuel pump and line, new gas tank and fuel sending unit, all new radiator and heater hoses, belts, vacuum hoses, battery, battery cables, wiring under hood has all been redone, new exhaust gaskets and donuts, carburetor has been rebuilt stock 4 barrel quadrajet (750cfm), new rear and front wheel bearings, all fluids recently changed, heavy duty aftermarket drive line, rancho shocks and front stabilizer shock, new spark plugs, wires, and distributor. I currently have 12 k Invested in this vehicle and 1000s of hours of labor. Ac system is all brand new and works perfectly, i just replaced all of the ac/heating duct hoses, I have the bottom heat register, i just sealed the bottom of the duct box off because the flapper door broke so it blows super cold through the top vents, it is a 100 dollar fix from old air products for a new duct box, but it works fine just the way it is. There is also no glove box just because i use the center console and the glove boxes were cardboard so if you put anything heavy in there is will tear it up, the glove box is a 12 dollar purchase if you wanted to put one in. My Loss is your gain, I think the only part i have not replaced on this blazer is the power steering pump and it works great. There should not be anything that you would have to do to this truck it is in excellent mechanical condition and i use it as a daily driver. It also has all new body mounts. I have all of the receipts and warranty info from all of the parts i bought as well.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
C7 Corvette makes inaugural ad appearance in Chevy's first spot with new slogan
Mon, 11 Feb 2013Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" tagline has finally been run into the ground, replaced with the Bowtie brand's "Find New Roads" slogan that's part of parent General Motors' plan to unify its everyday brand's marketing efforts worldwide. The new Chevrolet campaign was ushered in on prime time last night during the Grammy Awards on CBS, and the first spot, a 90-second full-line ad, also marks the first appearance of the 2014 Corvette Stingray in a commercial.
Being a full-line ad, the commercial is composed of vignettes centered on different vehicles in the brand's lineup. The all-new 2014 Impala also makes its first commercial appearance in dapper fashion, and time is spent on a skateboarding Sonic and a bouquet of brightly colored Spark hatchbacks driven by fashionable women. The ad starts and ends with Chevy's green halo car, the Volt, along with a young girl with her robotic dog (yes, really).
Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" campaign got off to a rocky start in the fall of 2010, but it did last for a couple of years with some tweaks. This new one, "Find New Roads" seems more intent on drawing new customers into the fold than the outgoing tagline, which seemed to play more toward the brand faithful. It admittedly reminds us more than a little the short-lived "Find Your Own Road" Saab motto (which, we note, was conceived while the Swedish brand was under GM's control), but no matter, we still think it's got more long-term potential than "Runs Deep."
Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1
Mon, 11 Feb 2013The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.
