*This has been a 5 year project for my husband and he has loved every minute of it. He stripped down the inside and painted it as well as rhino lined the whole belly of the interior as well as up the sides. He has installed some new weather stripping's, a new console, new dash pad, windshield, door handles, new interior door panels and arm rest pads, a cd player, and gray cloth seats out of a mid 1996 Tahoe that are in great shape and very comfortable, and the drivers seat is ready to hook up to be a power seat:). The back seat is the original bright blue vinyl, the whole rig used to be blue...On the inside it needs the speakers installed in the door, the rears are hooked up, and it needs a new instrument cluster, easy to get... Other than that it looks awesome... The outside it has been completely repainted by a professional body man with two tone silver and charcoal about 2 years ago. It has new handles and new outside rear view mirrors. It has good highway tires on it with aluminum rims. The fiberglass top has one crack in the bottom by the handle for the glass door, He never got to the top at all, its white. It also has new side marker lamps and tail lamps. FYI, he is going to paint the colum silver this weekend :)
*Under the hood it has a 350 with a Eddle Brock 211 Intake, it has been converted to a TBI fuel injection system, no carb!!!! With a 4 speed manual trans. Has RV cam, and only leak is a small one coming from the oil pan, don't even have to add oil between oil changes. The previous owner had dropped some coin on the engine, didn't look to have hardly any miles on it when we got it and we have probably put no more than 3500 miles on it in the last 5 years... He has cleaned up a lot of the wiring underneath like to the tail lamps etc. New exhaust, sounds wicked.
* Vehicle is not done up to his specs but is really awesome as is... There is an unlimited amount of things you can do to these things!! He got it really close but we are trying to build a house and we have got to sell... He will regret it as he always does when he sells, but we will get another project later :) Thanks for your interest and time!!! If you need to know anything or would like more pics just let me know!!

Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia
Sun, 03 Feb 2013It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.
GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC
Sun, 06 Oct 2013American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.
Chevy Corvette Stingray picks up another award, this time from Automobile
Mon, 18 Nov 2013The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has picked up another buff book accolade after capturing Road and Track's Performance Car of the Year award. The seventh-generation of America's sports car (sorry Viper, Mustang, et al.) has been named Automobile Magazine's Automobile of the Year.
Automobile's award to the Corvette over competitors is the mirror image of its rival Motor Trend, which named the Cadillac CTS its car of the year over the C7. The CTS was, according to the Automobile team, the closest contender to the mighty Stingray. Great news all around for General Motors it seems.
As for what pushed the Corvette past its distant, four-door cousin, Automobile commended its excellent, 6.2-liter V8 calling the car's performance "simply awesome" while also remarking that it is easier to drive fast than ever before thanks to steering and chassis tweaks. Following a theme set by other publications, there were also plaudits for the interior, of all things, with the buff book complimenting the car's ergonomics and material quality, while also praising the standard seats.
