1978 K5 Chevy Blazer 350 bored 30 over roller tip rockers, Pete Jackson gear drive, billet pulleys 38" Mickey Thompson tires, Conti 500 Rims 4.56 gears in rear end Dual chrome shocks Dual chrome steering stabilizers 10" lift, 3" body lift Autometer gauges Kenwood Stereo, front and rear amplifiers, JBL speakers Tons of chrome ($6,000 alone in chrome plating) Sunroof Custom burgundy velour interior 917 miles since rebuild. The truck was only driven back and forth to local shows. Just installed New Chrome fuel pump, anodized fuel filter, battery, battery cables, battery switch, and gas tank drained and cleaned. I have personally owned this truck since 1983. I rebuilt and showed the truck throughout the 90's and it has been garage kept since. Needs a good polishing. KC lights are currently not wired. The windshield wipers do not work. Thermostat housing has minor leak. Has a few nicks here and there but no dents or other damage. Has a truck tailgate. Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why
Sun, 27 Jan 2013Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.

Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues
Wed, 28 Dec 2011'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
GM to make most cars LTE hotspots for 2015
Mon, 25 Feb 2013General Motors isn't the first automaker to deliver in-car Internet access, but a proposed plan announced today could make the technology more widespread than any of its competitors have offered. By the 2015 model year, most Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC products in the US and Canada will offer 4G LTE mobile broadband access. Initially, GM will just be pairing with AT&T to deliver this service, but additional carriers will be revealed in the future.
Current in-car Wi-Fi hot spots are limited to 3G, but GM says that 4G LTE is 10 times faster than 3G service and will allow for full Internet access, including streaming video for entertainment as well as services like real-time traffic updates and navigation driving directions. There is also no need for a paired smartphone with this new system, which should make it easier to use, and GM and AT&T will also be working together to develop new apps for customers.
Buyers can expect to start seeing 4G LTE in their cars starting next year, and GM is already planning to expand the service to other global markets as well. All of the information from GM's announcement is posted in a press release below.
