1990 Black Chevrolet Blazer

Up for auction is my 1990 Chevy Blazer.  I acquired this vehicle from my uncle who had passed away last year.  He was the original owner of the vehicle and it was always stored in his garage.  It only has 80,499 original miles!

Interior:

The interior is in excellent condition.  Dash has no cracks, instrument cluster is clear, all gauges work as they should - including the climate system.  The original vinyl seats have always been covered.  I have had a rear bench installed to make a backseat for my kids.  There is no damage to the floor.  The blazer has a full size, new spare tire in the back.  The power rear window works as it should.  The top on this vehicle has never been removed.

Exterior:

The exterior has no dents or dings in the body.  There are typical rock chips on the body from its 23 years of life.  The paint is in very good condition for its age.  There is some slight fading above the driver side rear tire There is no rust on body - only surface under the carriage.  It has a tow package.  This truck has the original steel tires, including the hubs, and has never been lifted.  I also had the front windows professionally tinted.

Mechanically:

I changed the oil and filter, replaced the air filter, and replaced the battery last September.  The blazer runs as it should and has never not started.  There are no squeaks or noises coming from the engine.

THIS VEHICLE IS UP FOR AUCTION AGAIN DUE TO NONPAYING BUYER

My uncle took very good care of this vehicle.  I think the pictures will confirm that.  Please contact me with any questions you may have or additional pictures needed.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit

Tue, 15 Jan 2013

There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.

General Motors shaking up its marketing... again

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

2010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
