1993 Chevy S10 Blazer Tahoe 131813 miles PLEASE READ ALL THE FOLLOWING. EMAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS The motor runs great, with no oil or trans fluid leaks. It is strong. Water leaks out almost instantly, assuming that it will need a new water pump. IT WILL NOT HOLD WATER TO DRIVE A GREAT DISTANCE. 4X4 was working, but the transfer switch does not anymore. 4WD does not engage, but could be fixed with a very inexpensive switch. The truck hit a deer, and was fixed. That is the reason for the red hood. Power windows work, except drivers door goes up very slowly. Would need a new window motor. Battery is brand new. This truck is strong and will be a good truck for anybody that wants to fix it and get it on the road. IT IS NOT REGISTERED, INSPECTED, OR INSURED. IF YOU COME TO LOOK AT IT, IT WILL RUN, AND YOU CAN TEST DRIVE IT AROUND MY DRIVEWAY, BUT NOT ONTO THE ROAD. BUYER ASSUMES ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR GETTING TRUCK TO THIER DESTINATION. Local only. Experimental mid-engine XP-819 Corvette going up for auction
Sun, 17 Feb 2013It seems to be commonplace that when a new Corvette is in development, rumors swirl about a possible mid-engine layout. As is the case of Chevy's most recent C7 Corvette, these rumors never pan out.
In any case, the idea for a 'Vette with an engine mounted behind the driver can probably all be traced back to a single car, the 1964 XP-819 prototype. Built as an "engineering exercise" back in 1964, the prototype was designed with a rear-mounted engine. History tells us that the idea of a rear-engine Corvette fizzled, and the XP-819 was eventually cut up into pieces and stored at a shop in Daytona Beach, FL.
After sitting for untold years, a restoration project started on the car, and while it isn't yet fully completed, the current owner of the car, Mid America Motorworks, will have the car on display at the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance as a "driveable chassis" with hopes of having a fully completed car ready to bring to next year's show.
2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray order guide hits the web
Mon, 15 Apr 2013The official debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is only part of the excitement for fans of Chevy's virtuoso sportscar. Although we got to see the car and some of its preliminary specs in Detroit and Geneva, there is still no word on pricing and some of the juicier data points we've been waiting for - such as confirmed power output, EPA estimated mileage figures and performance numbers. Until then, CorvetteBlogger has gotten its hands on the order guide for the coupe version of the car - in both base and Z51 iterations - revealing tidbits like standard and optional features and available color combinations.
Some other new details made it onto the order guide, such as our first interior specs for the coupe including slightly less hip room and headroom, more shoulder room and the same amount of legroom. From what we can gather, it sounds like more information will be revealed on April 25 during a party at the Corvette Museum, and for those sun worshipers patiently waiting for a convertible, it would appear you've got another model year to wait through.
