1998 Chevy S-10 Blazer 4x4 Straight Axle Conversion Lifted Mud Street Truck on 2040-cars

Year:1998 Mileage:165000
Location:

Edgewater, Florida, United States

Edgewater, Florida, United States

I am moving from Edgewater, Fl 32132 to Milledgeville, GA next month and will gladly deliver this truck anywhere in between A & B for $79.00 + $1.00 a mile. I'll be driving a U-Haul so I will throw a car hauler on it and deliver your new toy! If you need the vehicle shipped outside my route, I will assist in anyway I can with loading etc...

For Sale: 1998 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer 4x4. 4.3 V-6, Automatic Transmission, Electronic Shift T-Case, Straight axle conversion with 8" of lift, Jeep Cherokee front and rear axles, power  everything, touch screen stereo with 500W and 1500W amps thumping through a 10" sub.... It's LOUD! Also has rear backup camera system. Truck runs and drives pretty good. I drive it daily! Lift and conversion was done 3 years ago and will need the following: Front Sway Bar (I would add one), 1 Track Bar Bushing, A/C needs charged?, needs a heater core and it will need tires soon. If you want the 4x4 to work, it will also need a front drive shaft and light modifications on the cross member for clearance. The tires are 33" and are mounted on 15x8 aluminum Eagle Alloy wheels.

LIKE I SAID, The truck is driven every day to and from work and around town...... Consider it a tinkering project... not a major project. The rear windows do not operate??? the power locks work but not the rear hatch or drivers door???? and the ABS and Air Bag lights are on because of the conversion.

The truck is reliable and has not had any real problems to mention. PLEASE look at all the pictures very good as I do not want any grey areas in this sale. If you are looking for a new vehicle... PLEASE go buy a new vehicle. This truck is in good shape for its age and only has a rip in the drivers seat from falling out...LOL!

HIGH BIDDER OWNS IT! NO RESERVE! TRUCK IS FOR SALE LOCALLY! I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION EARLY. TRUCK IS SOLD AS-IS AS SHOWN.... NO WARRANTY! DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE! NO RETURNS or REFUNDS!

On Sep-16-14 at 09:58:02 PDT, seller added the following information:

I have many more pictures and a few videos of the truck. I can't upload them here but if you would like to see more or have any requests... just text me at 3 eight 6 6 eight nine 0480. Joe

Steve McQueen's last movie car, now Pawn Stars-owned, up for auction [w/video]

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

The last car Steve McQueen ever drove in a movie is officially up for auction. The 1951 Chevrolet Styline DeLuxe Convertible you see above is now owned by none other than Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, but once ferried McQueen around the set of his last film, 1980's The Hunter. That flick saw the Bullit star play a bumbling bounty hunter and didn't exactly set the box office on fire. McQueen bought the car after production wrapped, and four years later it sold at his estate sale at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
Flash forward to 2003, and the convertible received a full restoration back to near-stock specifications. Hagerty Insurance estimates the car to be worth around $45,000 without the significant providence. Given its ties to one of film's most popular gearheads, the old Chevrolet could fetch up to 10 times that when it goes under the gavel in Ft Luaderdale, Florida on March 22. You can head over to the Auctions America site for more information. You can also check out the trailer for The Hunter below.

Why the Corvette is Chevrolet's billion-dollar baby

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

Edmunds has worked up a piece that tries to figure out just how much the global Chevrolet Corvette economy is worth, a spitballed guesstimate putting the number at more than $2.5 billion with the proviso that the number is probably low. It starts by taking Corvette's new car sales of 14,132 units last year, which would equate to $714,725,900 (including destination) assuming ever car sold was a base coupe with no options. In the final tally, a little extra padding gets that number up to $750,000,000.
But that's not all. Consider this: Many of the almost 1.4 million Corvettes produced over the model's history are still on the road. There are new parts being produced and aftermarket companies like Mid-America Motorworks deaing business, that single Illinois company doing more than $40 million a year in sales. There are the Corvette events large and small, restorers who do nothing but Corvettes, salvage yards that deal only in used Corvette parts and the Corvette magazines where owners find all this stuff.
And then there are the Corvette-themed tchotchkes, every single one of which provides a tiny contribution to the huge licensing royalties that General Motors collects every year. The article admits there's no way to come to an accurate number, but it just goes to show how valuable one specific model can be to a company.

GM takes heat for aborted Silverado riff on 'Boston Strong' at World Series

Thu, 31 Oct 2013

During game five of the World Series, Chevrolet was set to do a spot of marketing for the 2014 Silverado - fans at Busch Stadium in St. Louis would hold up placards that spelled out the words "Silverado Strong," a theme that Chevy has been promoting since the Silverado's launch with the song "Strong," by Will Hoge. The St. Louis promo was ultimately called off, though, over concerns that it'd be insensitive to the visiting Boston Red Sox. (You can see the image of what the stunt would have looked like above, courtesy of one timely Reddit user.)
Now, the Busch Stadium stunt might not have been a big deal, had the St. Louis Cardinals not been playing the Boston Red Sox. Following the tragic events in Boston during the marathon back in April, the phrase "Boston Strong" gained traction among the city's citizens, especially at sporting events. So, you can imagine that Chevy's appropriation of the phrase might not sit well with some fans.
The stunt was ultimately shelved after images of the signs went viral before the game, leading to a bit of a public backlash. Chevy spokesperson Michael Albano said of the promo that it was meant to show the brand's "commitment to baseball and its fans." But after the images went viral, the company "realized there was the possibility that we may offend some of the very fans we were trying to honor," Albano told Automotive News via email.
