Baught vehicle in Dec. 2006. Has not been driven since June 2007. Had a blown head gasket. Finally decided to work on it. Blazer is sold as is. A lot of work has been done to it.  First the engine was rebuilt and bored 30 over with ceramic coated headers. Engine has not been fully broken in.  I guess it would have between 50 - 100 mile on it. New stainless steel MagnaFlow mufflers and new exhaust pipes.  Blazer has a new radiator, radiator support, inner fenders both sides, stainless steele fuel lines. stainless steel brake lines, coolant overflow kit, door sill plates, threshold plates, windshield washer kit and battert tray. Front and rear brakes have been replaced. New rotors, brake pads and calipers for the front brakes. Rear brakes all new, drums turned.  Front end has been replaced with new items as well.  Tire rods ends changed on both sides, front axle ball joints replaced, UV joints changed, new drag link front and rear with adjusting sleeve, adjuating tube and lucking hubs changed as well to Warn hubs. Vehicle has rust spots throughout, but Inner and outter rocker panel have been replaced.  Both driver and passenger floor has been patched with new metal. Some interior work has been done. Replaced both power window motors, new passenger window regulator, driver door luck actuator, handles on both sides and 3 new switches for window and door lucks. Brand new BF Goodrich 33x12.5r15.  Previous onwer had a 3rd front middle seat that i have taken out and re-placed storage box.  Seat will go with vehicle.  Some cosmatice work needs to be done to it, but otherwise its a good vehicle.  I have more pictures upon request.

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

Tue, 17 Aug 2010

2010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.

Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.

Watch how Corvette Racing's new collision-avoidance radar system works

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

When it comes to technology used in racecars, we generally expect it to trickle down to production cars, not the other way around. Well, Pratt & Miller has developed a new rear-facing radar that operates in a similar fashion to what we're used to in modern blind spot detection systems, only it is also capable of tracking cars as they approach and relaying vital information to the driver via a large display screen.
The innovative radar system debuted at last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring for Corvette Racing, and this system makes perfect sense for endurance races like this since the cars sometimes have to drive through the night and in poor weather conditions.
The radar can detect cars even with poor visibility, and uses easy-to-distinguish symbols for the driver to identify.
