For Sale, 1964 C-20 long bed NOT a C-10 no option on Ebay for a C-20 Chevrolet pick up. I am the 3rd owner and my Dad was the 2nd. It came original with a high torque 283 V8, later it was replaced with a 327 V8 out of a 1969 Chev Impala. At the time of the engine swap a new clutch was installed. Starts and runs and drives with no problems, However due to the engine swap the RPM's in the last gear run high, 55mph or 60mph is the fastest it can manage without over revving engine. Different Trans or rear end might be the answer. The truck has been a Utah truck, so harsh winters means lots of salt which equals rust. Doors, floors, bed, rockers and tailgate all have rust and bondo. This is a labor of love or a great Rat Rod project. Brakes are drum front and back. It has a 4 speed manual transmission, however 1st gear is a grandma gear (not used in everyday driving). Someone installed extra fuel tanks but I don't think they are usable, I had plans to remove them but never did. It does still have original fuel tank behind seat, and that is the one to use. Gas gauge does not work, all other gauges do work. High beams don't work might be the switch or head lights themselves. Regular headlights work fine. Heater works well and I did buy new cables and levers for the heater controls from LMC Truck. I never installed them and if I can find them, I will throw them in for new owner to install (no guarantees). This truck being a C-20 or 3/4 ton also has overload springs on the rear. Wood in bed is original. I just put in a new battery, your welcome!! I bought new tires and wheels several years ago tires only has a few hundred miles on them, however they are old in age. I have had the truck garaged since I got it and just recently moved it out due to a different truck needing the garage. Glass is in good shape and I had the windows tinted by a professional. No radio, power steering or air conditioning. Its not currently registered so I don't like to drive it far, with that being said SHIPPING IS ALL UP TO YOU. If you have questions just call me, Its hard enough buying a vehicle on the internet with a few pictures and a brief description! Race Recap: 2013 Twelve Hours of Sebring, cakewalk up front, grindfest out back [w/spoilers]

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

This year's 12 Hours of Sebring wasn't exactly a foregone conclusion because we're still talking about racing, and anything can happen when the speeds are as high as the adrenaline and the desire. But we're still talking about Audi bringing it's two top-spec racers - and its huge budget and its nearly neurotic attention to detail - to a race that it uses as a test bed for The 24 Hours of Le Mans and as a way to open the endurance racing season with a victory.
Besides, 12 hours is a long time, especially at Sebring, and things didn't go all Audi's way. On top of that, although it was a pretty quiet race, behind the Audis things got even grimier, with plenty of battles, plenty of mechanical issues, and the new BMW Z4 GTE and Viper GTS-R being race tested. Oh, and that brand new chromed-out DeltaWing...

The story of the 2014 Chevrolet SS: "Luxury, power, refinement, handling"

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

Not including the women and men who built it, the 2014 Chevrolet SS has only been seen in person by a piddling number of people - fewer humans than would fill the gymnasium at a high school volleyball game. Not including the men and women who built it, no one has driven it. Even so, it is already saddled with two controversies: the way it looks and the way it shifts.
First to that shifting. Did we love the last Americanized Holden, the awesomely sportsome Pontiac G8 GXP, and its six-speed manual? Of course. Do we wish the SS came with a six-speed manual? Of course. But we'd like a toboggan to come with a manual transmission. We'd put a manual transmission on a weasel if we could because we're just wired that way; if it moves, it should come with a stick and a clutch. Or at least the option.
Let's climb down off the ledge, though. We haven't driven the SS and we have no idea how good (or not) the automatic is. And the Hobson's Choice in transmissions when it comes to sport sedans like the BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and Jaguar XFR-S and, oh yeah, cars-that-really-should-have-manuals like the Audi R8 and Nissan GT-R and Porsche 918 and every single Lamborghini and Ferrari, for instance, hasn't stopped us from enjoying what is clearly the gruesome, dual-clutched demise of Western automotive civilization. Because in spite of our ululations at the dying of the six-speed light, we understand.

Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
If this video looks familiar to you, it's because this is the full ad that we first got a preview of in Chevy's longer, full-line spot, where the brand's "Find New Roads" tagline was introduced. Scroll down to see this dedicated Sonic spot, along with the older ad, and remember, the Sonic is still - still - not a skateboard.
