Here is my 1965 Chevrolet C10
I really do not want to sell this truck, I would love to keep it and restore it while using it as a driver but its just not in the cards right now. So, here is a very good start to your Hot Rod truck. Engine fires right up and sounds great. I purchased this from a guy who had spent some money on it and then just larked it in his shop. The original 6 was removed for a freshly rebuilt 305. Started with a block and had all machine work done and built up from there. There is a new intake along with a holley carb. New Distrib and wires as well. Headers and new exhaust let it breath. There is also a flex fan up front to keep it cool along with a transmission cooler. The tranny is a turbo 350 auto with a hurst stick in the floor of the cab. The front has been converted to disc. 5x5 lug all the way around. A new master under the hood as well, no power brakes but they stop great and dont pull to either side. The interior is super clean and simple. The seat has had new pad and and covered. A temp and oil pressure gauge are mounted under the dash and work well. The gas tank has been vatted and replaced and looks great. The wood slats for the bed have been removed and replace with one solid piece of wood. Once again, this truck is a great start to a very nice final result or drive it as is. The body on this truck is super solid. There are dings all over it but nothing big at all. The body is super straight. There is one rust through spot right behind the passenger side front wheel on the fender. An easy fix for a body guy. There are a couple of other very small rust spots right on the drivers floor board as well. Once again, very minor and minimal for these trucks. The side glass is good, but the windshield is cracked pretty good. The hood and the tailgate both open as they should. I started it right up and drove it 25 miles to my shop this past week and went 70 down the highway the whole way. This really is a cool old truck. It is driver but it is still a project. I will help load the truck up if shipping is desired or come check it out and pick it up. The inspection and registration is not up to date. Also, original owner manual and Protect-O-Plate is included.
Thanks for looking.
This vehicle is being sold as-is.

GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite
Mon, 21 Jan 2013Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.
