1968 CHEVROLET PICK UP C10

VERY NICE TRUCK, TRUCK WAS PURCHASED 2 YEARS AGO FROM THE ORIGANAL ONWER WHO BOUGHT IT WHEN HE RETURNED FROM VIETNAM IN THE LATE 60'S.

THIS TRUCK WAS PURHASED BRAND NEW FROM A LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER IN GLEN COVE (LONG ISLAND) NEW YORK.  WHEN I BOUGHT IT, SHE WAS VERY SOLID AND IT DID NOT RUN, I LIKED THAT 10 PEOPLE HAD NOT PLAYED WITH IT.

IT WAS AND IS STILL TOTALLY ORIGINAL EXCEPT IT HAS A NEW SMALL BLOCK ENGINE NOT ORIGINAL TO THE CAR.  THIS ENGINE THAT I PUT IN WAS A REBUILT SMALL BLOCK WHICH I HAD TOOK OUT OF ANOTHER CAR, AND HAD REBUILT.

THE MOTOR RIGHT NOW ONLY HAS 2000 MILES SINCE THE FRESH REBUILD.  ITS A PERIOD CORRECT ENGINE, AND IT FITS THE TRUCK JUST PERFECT.

THIS TRUCK WAS BOUGHT NON RUNNING, AND THE MOTOR WAS BAD.

I HAVE DONE AL THE FOLLOWING TO GET IT RUNNING AND DRIVING.

NEW BATTERY

NEW SMALL BLOCK MOTOR

NEW / REBUILT TRANSMISISON

NEW BRAKE LINES

NEW FUEL LINES

NEW BRAKES ALL AROUND

NEW MASTER CYLINDER

REBUILT CARBEURATOR

ETC.

TRUCK RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE A NEW CAR, KEEP UP WITH TRAFFIC AND STOP ON A DIME.

GOOD BODY SLIGHT RUST, ALL THERE, RUNS AND DRIVES MINT. THERE IS SOME ROT ON THE LOWER REAR OF THE CAB, AND A LITTLE ON THE DOORS.  THE FRAME IS SOLID AND THE UNDERCARRIAGE IS SOLID WITH MINIMAL RUST.  NOT PERFECT BUT VERY SAFE AND IN GREAT SHAPE.

TRUCK IS TOTALLY ORIGINAL. RUNS AND DRIVES STRONG. STOPS ON A DIME.   FRAME IS SOLID, JUST MINOR BODY DEMAGE, EASILY REPAIRABLE OR DRIVE IT AS IT IS. TITLE IS CLEAR AND READY TO BE SIGNED OVER TO YOU THE NEW OWNER. TITLE IS A NY STATE TRANSFERABLE REGISTRATION.

PICTURES TELL IT ALL THIS IS A GREAT TRUCK AND HARD TO FIND.

FRAME IS SOLID. RECENT WORK INCLUDES NEW BRAKES ALL AROUND, NEW BATTERY, REBUILT TRANSMISSION, OVERHAULED TOP OF ENGINE, RADIATOR FLUSHED, TUNE UP, NEW WIRES.

GET ONE OF THE LAST REAL AMERICAN MUSCLE TRUCKS.

WE WORK WITH LOCAL FREIGHT SHIPPERS, WE CAN SHIP THE CAR ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD- AT THE BUYERS EXPENSE.

Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.

C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
