This auction is for a 1969 Chevrolet C10 Pickup Truck. This is a unique truck to those you normally see because this one still has the six cylinder in it. But don't be fooled, this six runs like an eight! The engine has a small cam in it and sounds great at idle. It also has a four barrel carburetor on it along with a header which feeds the dual exhaust. The engine is backed with a 3 speed column shifter manual transmission with overdrive. The transmission is smooth and the overdrive really works nice.

The truck is red in color and the body is really nice, I'd give the paint job an 8 out of 10 with no visible flaws. The doors shut nice and line up good. All the glass is really nice in the truck. All the chrome is good and most all of it is new. The bed has a really nice wood floor in it.

The truck drives great on the road, the power steering makes it easy to turn. The brakes stop the truck well. I wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere. In fact we have taken it on several two+ hour trips since we've had it with no issues at all.

The truck has a nice black bench seat in it. It has a later model Chevy steering wheel on it. The heat works great. The dash features both a vacuum gauge and a rare factory 6 cylinder tach.

This truck turns heads every where it goes and usually takes home top truck at the shows. This is a great driving, unique truck. Don't be like everyone else at the shows, have something a little different!

Feel free to come and look at the truck before bidding. One person's idea of nice and another's may differ. I try to describe the truck the best that I can.

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.

Hot Wheels Camaro to make big debut at Indy

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

Chevrolet handed over the keys to 33 Hot Wheels Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 festival cars this week. Race directors get the luxury of driving the droptops around Indianapolis in an ongoing tradition with roots all the way back to the 1960s. The stunt is supposed to remind area residents that the Indy 500 is right around the corner. The cars are our first look at the special Camaro Hot Wheels Edition in convertible form, and they are slated to head to dealers after a one-time production run. The cars also represent the first time in history full-size Hot Wheels have been offered for sale by an automaker.
The cars will be available in both the previously seen coupe bodystyle and this convertible configuration, and will feature metallic blue paint and special wheels with the iconic redline accent. Buyers will be able to choose between the V6-powered 2LT trim and the V8-powered 2SS guise.
Hot Wheels says the original Custom Camaro toy was one of the original 16 1:64-scale diecasts, and it remains one of the company's most valuable collector items today.

Watch the live reveal of the 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra [UPDATE]

Thu, 13 Dec 2012

UPDATE: The trucks have been revealed. Click here for all of the official details.
As promised, Chevrolet and GMC are offering a live webcast of the world premiere for the all-new 2014 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500. After being teased with spy shots and blurry images like the one above for ages, now is the time to see the trucks in the metal, for real (well, as 'real' as it gets on a webcast, at any rate).
Shift your eyes down just below to see the reveal as it happens, starting at 9:30 AM EST. We anticipate having loads of images full technical information to share after the webcast, too, so truck aficionados should stay tuned. We'll also be bringing you live images of both trucks too, when we see them on the show floor at next month's Detroit Auto Show.
