1972 Chevrolet C10 Pick Up Short Bed on 2040-cars
Anderson, Indiana, United States
Up for auction is a 1972 C10 short bed. Has a V8 350 with automatic transmission. This truck is an older restoration. I have been using this truck as a daily driver. It runs, drives, and shifts good. Starts right up every time. The truck has factory A/C but needs a recharge. I have clear Indiana Title, miles are exempt because of vehicles age. The truck is an older restoration. It has shaved door handles and it needs new actuator switches. Paint is cracking in some places and there is some flaking around the windshield and in the gutter channels where the seem sealer is cracking. Truck has rock chips and has the typical rust issues. The rockers have rust, the right cab corner is bubbling, the left rear quarter is rusting. There are also some paint bubbles along the doors. I tried to take pictures of all these areas so check the photos closely. Overall the truck is pretty solid. Its not beat up. It could be restored or driven just like it is. I also notice the floor has been patched previously. Truck has New rear tires and the fronts are 50%. Interior has carpet, the drivers side of the seat is splitting were the stitching is. Someone has installed some after market gauges in the dash and they all work except the volt meter. If you have any questions at all don't hesitate to email or call me direct @ 765 635-9345. If you want to stop by and view the truck feel free to make an appointment. The truck is located less then 5 minutes from exit 234 on I69 in central Indiana. I am selling the truck AS IS with NO RESERVE! |

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit
Tue, 15 Jan 2013There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.
Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?
Thu, 21 Feb 2013When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.
Why Cadillac thinks it needs to succeed in Europe to sell cars elsewhere
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Ward's Auto has taken an interesting look at the renewed focus General Motors is showing towards Cadillac in Europe. Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe (pictured), says in order for the luxury brand to thrive in China, it first needs to succeed in the old country. The reason? Chinese buyers look to Europe for cues as to what's deemed worthy of the term "luxury." There are hurdles to the plan, however. In addition to the fact that the EU is flooded with high-end nameplates, GM doesn't necessarily have the distribution network in place to put buyers behind the wheel.
Combine that with persistent economic woes and Cadillac's checkered past marred by a lack of diesel engine options and a bankrupt distributor, and the road ahead for the brand looks like less of an uphill climb and more like a straight-up cliff face. But Docherty is optimistic and says she has a plan for the brand. We recommend heading over to Ward's for a closer look at the full read.
