76 Chevy C10 Silverado C/k 1500 C-10 Pickup Shop Truck Two Tone on 2040-cars
Lewes, Delaware, United States
Up for sale is my 1976 Chevy C10 Sliverado long bed with only 52,000 original miles. It is an almost all original truck and only had one owner until he passed in 2009 and was garaged until September of 2013. I bought it from original owner’s nephew. Truck was Maryland tagged and driven daily by the nephew when I got it. It has the original two tone paint which is Grecian Bronze (Orange) and Light Saddle (tan) and has an orange and tan interior. Truck has the extremely rare option E81 which is a factory wood floor bed which is in great shape top and bottom thanks to the fiberglass cap it had on most of its life. Truck runs and drives great and has the original 350 V8/4 barrel engine and automatic 350 turbo transmission. Also has a 12 bolt posi rear with 3:73 gears. Tires are in good shape and has Cadillac hub caps that the old man drove around with. Has a sliding rear window, am/fm radio with 8 track player, power steering and power brakes. All of the gauges function like they should. Truck only needs driver’s door hinge pins and bushings and some exhaust work to be a good solid daily driver. Truck is in great shape for a 38 year old unrestored original. Truck came from western Maryland/northern West Virginia and has some rust. Drivers side floor pan is in rough shape and has had some repairs. Driver’s side rocker panel was replaced by the nephew. The pictures show the bad spots. This truck would make a great work truck or shop truck for somebody as it sits due to its rock solid low mileage drive train or would be a great truck with unique features to restore. I have a lot of documentation for this truck like the original loan documents, original title, original owner’s manual, original insurance documents, and even the original owner’s death certificate (the nephew insisted I have it because he said it was part of the trucks history). Please ask as many questions as possible, I want you to know what you are getting. This is a great low mileage truck with a cool one owner story at a low price. Please call me at 302-two45-nine974 or email me at jraydavis122@gmail.com with any questions. Winning bidder must pay $300 deposit within 24 hours of auction end. Must make arrangements with me for final payment and pickup within 24 hours of auction end. I will work with you if you are getting this truck shipped if you choose and I may also be able to deliver with a fee within 200 miles of Lewes, De where truck is located. |

The 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan is for drivers who value performance above all else
Sat, 16 Feb 2013The car you see above is the 2014 Chevrolet SS, and it's important both because it is the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from Chevy in 17 years, and because it will be the nameplate the brand uses on NASCAR tracks all across the country starting this year.
Though it wears a name as American as baseball and apple pie, the machine was actually designed and built in Australia, sharing most of its parts with the brand-new VF-model Holden Commodore. That said, the basic chassis bits are shared with other Chevrolet models like the Camaro and Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle.
While Chevrolet is happy to sell a Malibu or Impala to anyone looking for a mainstream family sedan, but the SS is reserved for buyers interested first and foremost in performance. Most sedans sold these days are front-wheel drive, which is great for everyday driving and when the weather goes bad, but the SS is instead a rear-wheel-drive vehicle aimed at enthusiasts who love to drive and who prefer speed and performance above all else.
Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette
Mon, 07 Oct 2013How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.
Pics Aplenty: Meet the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra [w/poll]
Thu, 13 Dec 2012Today was a pretty big day for General Motors, debuting the all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra light-duty pickup trucks ahead of their official showcase at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. And now that the dust has settled at GM's big reveal event, we've had a chance to snap dozens of photos of the new pickup pair from every angle.
We already told you the important bits earlier today (click here in case you missed it), but let's recap. Under the hood are three new engines - a 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 (you know, a version of the small-block that'll also be found under the hood of the C7 Corvette), all mated to six-speed automatic transmissions. The 2014 model year marks the return of the Z71 off-road package with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and beefier underbody protection. Inside, there's a host of new technology and a greater focus on better quality and refinement.
Some of the nitty-gritty specifics (like engine output numbers and fuel economy) have yet to be revealed, and since we haven't driven the finished products yet, it's hard to say how these trucks will fare against rivals like the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. For now, we can only judge these two books by their covers, and while we do like the designs of the new trucks, we Autoblog staffers are torn on exactly which one looks best.
