Ottawa, Illinois, United States

Up for your consideration:

an original 1972 Chevrolet c-10 survivor pickup, The truck was delivered to Zscheile Motor Company in Burlington Kansas in December of 1971.... the truck remained there

until the second owner bought it and hauled it to Maryland to drive and enjoy it... Unfortunately he passed away a couple years ago and I bought it from his son in law...

I purchased it for my father as a surprise gift.... surprise to me my dad didn't want it.

So you would be the third owner....

This truck is very cool especially with nostalgic vehicles being the rage right now...the paint is faded and is has chips scuffs and a small amount of rust on the drivers door

the rest of the front end and cab are very solid. The only issue of rust is rust through around the inner wheel wells in the bed you can't see from the side you must look in

the bed of the truck.

It is a rear leaf and front coil suspension truck with newer rear leaf packs in back... and the suspension is in great shape.

I put new brakes on rear with new drums and in front... rotors new calipers and pads and of course wheel bearings are new.

the ball joints are solid and steering tight.

I ran new brake lines and fuel where needed...I wanted this truck to have no issues for years.

It has a newer radiator and water pump and fuel pump... I have the original carb air cleaner and points distributer this truck is truly a survivor...

Glass is all good & interior complete.... lights work everything functions as it should....

the gentleman before me was almost done with an aftermarket A/C system... only needs a small amount to finish.

The engine is the higher horse power one and runs very well...numbers match and still has the diagnostic sticker to prove it

The 350 turbo trans shifts and drives excellent and has been rebuilt....

Tires are all good.

New exhaust with magnaflow mufflers with the muscle car sound we all hear on tv...

I have driven this truck 1 to 2 times a week and it is fun to drive with a lot of hp to get up and go!   It is always a head turner

and usually have people walking around it where I stop.

I have another car that has to get finished and with my dad turning it down... I just want to sell it... if things were different...

it would stay... I really enjoy driving it. I have original paperwork all the way back to the original dealership that sold it new...

YOU CAN DRIVE THIS TRUCK HOME...

NO warranty

you must come look at it to make offers... bring cash... no bull on the  you will pay me extra for shipping garbage....

I Don't deliver... shipping can be considered truck must be paid for first....along with shipping.

truck is for sale locally...reserve the right to end auction early.

The best form of payment is cash... no trades or checks could do a wire transfer from your bank to mine... truck goes nowhere till my bank says I am good to go.

Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica

Fri, 03 Aug 2012

If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting? Vote in our poll below, then feel free to leave a few lines in Comments.

Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial

Sat, 16 Mar 2013

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
