First time offered is this handsom 71 chev cheyeene super restored to its origional cond. This truck was from texas and used for hunting on a farm and kept under a lean too in the fields hense the low miles is what the seller told me, i bought it several years ago and there was no rust anywhere on the truck. The paint was fading so i had the bed taken off and base/clear coat the entire truck in almost the factory colors in yellow/white and added metle flakes which makes it dance in the sun, looks very nice you may be able to see it in the pic. the truck has the factory big blk (rare) and a/c which needs charging sorry about that. it has auto transmission works fine, power steering, brakes. runs and drives grate. all trim is new, chrome is bright, has origional interior with no tears. new carpet, dash and wheel are painted yellow with the flakes and realy stands out. the only thing i replaced on the engine is the water pump a couple of weeks ago. i installed a set of  20 inch wheels which sets the truck off nicely. the bed has a painted liner in yellow. i have a clear fl title in my name. this truck can be driver cross country with ease. i am down sizing my stable of classic so watch for my other listings which will  include 57 t bird, 63 falcon convt, 36 chev resto rod, 30 hupmobile, 41 packard, 53 packard convt project, 63 t bird, 72 chev cheyeene super, several nash metros, 86 elky, 61 corvair wagon and a 61  monza and a few more. feel free to call me on this truck if you have any questions as i may have missed some things. i have a reasonable reserve so bid to win. i require a 500 non refundable deposit at close of auction by paypale, and full payement with in seven days of end of auction by cash or wire transfer. it is the buyers expence for transport and i will help any way i can. if you would like to see this truck give me a call anytime. good luck to all bidders and if you have to ask your wife you know the story, thanks 727 742 6987

"Turbo" Chevrolet Camaro is a 700-HP fantasy car come to life [w/video]

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

For a concept car built to promote an animated movie about a snail that wants to go racing, this thing ain't half bad. The outsized monster you see before you started life as a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and then went through a big-time Hollywood makeover before being positioned on the Chevrolet stand here in Chicago.
This 2013 "Turbo" Camaro Coupe is getting the promotion machine ratcheted up for a new DreamWorks tale by the name of, you guessed it, Turbo. Coming this summer, the movie will follow one snail's quest to become a race driver worthy of making the cut at the Indy 500. Like many DreamWorks vehicles before it, we're guessing that the petrolhead snail will star in a movie that adults (especially racing fans) with have no trouble watching with their kids. Check out the trailer below to see if you agree.
As for the car, we're told that it is "instrumental" in transforming Turbo from snail into racer. Helping the beastly pony car in this mighty task, is an ankle-cracking front splitter matched by a ungodly huge rear wing out back, a COPO hood and a supercharged (yes, supercharged) V8 engine making more than 700 horsepower. 24-inch wheels all the way around - 10-inches wide in front and 15-inches wide in back - should allow the "Turbo" Camaro to hook up with ease, as well.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray priced from $51,995*

Fri, 26 Apr 2013

After months of speculation, Chevrolet has finally revealed the official starting price of the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The base MSRP for the 450-horsepower Stingray Coupe will be $51,995, while the Stingray Convertible will go for $56,995 (*both prices include a $995 destination fee). This means that the price increase from 2013 to 2014 is just $1,400 for the coupe and $2,395 for the convertible - pretty modest increases considering the upgrade in specifications. Of course, neither price accounts for the sort of dealer markup that might grace early C7 window stickers, especially since less than a third of all Chevrolet dealers will be allocated Corvette models to sell at the car's launch.
Now, these prices are for the base car, so if you're wondering how much a fully loaded Stingray will run, Chevy has given us a good indication of that as well. The coupe we saw on display at the Detroit Auto Show (shown above), for example, would run $73,360 including options such as the $2,800 Z51 Performance Package, $2,495 competition sport seats and the $1,795 Magnetic Ride Control option - just to name a few. Stepping up to the 3LT trim level that brings a full leather interior will run an extra $8,005 over the base price.
While $20,000 in options may seem like a lot, this "as-tested" price still has the C7 competitively priced against rival coupes like the Porsche 911 and Nissan GT-R. Speaking of price comparisons, Chevrolet also points out that the C7 Stingray Z51 costs $2,200 less than the C6 Grand Sport while delivering better acceleration (0-60 mph in less than four seconds) and improved track performance (including more than 1 g in cornering).

C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.
