IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A NICE TRUCK FOR CRUISING IN,OR EVEN A CAR SHOW ,HERE  YOU GO. BETWEEN MYSELF AND THE PREVIOUS OWNER , WHO IS A FRIEND OF MINE THIS TRUCK HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN IN THE WINTER, OR EVEN THE RAIN FOR THE PAST 30 YEARS. ITS BEEN STORED INSIDE A CLIMATE CONTROLLED GARAGE,  AND NOT SURE IT HAS SPENT A NIGHT OUTSIDE..     THE TRUCK HAS BEEN LOWERED SOME. I HAD A 383 BUILT WITH ALL GOOD PARTS, STEEL CRANK, KIETH BLACK PISTONS, ALUMINUM ANGLE PLUG HEADS, ALUMINUM INTAKE, CERAMIC HEADERS, ROLLER ROCKERS AND MORE.IT HAS A CARTER CARBURETOR ON IT NOW AND I ALSO HAVE A HOLLEY I WILL LET GO WITH IT. BOTH WERE NEW WHEN ENGINE WAS BUILT ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO. I HAVE PUT ONLY ABOUT 800 MILES ON IT. I HAD 7000.00 INVESTED IN THE ENGINE. TIRES AND RIMS ARE ALL NEW.      PAINT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, EXCEPT FOR A SMALL SURFACE RUST SPOT ON FRONT EDGE OF THE HOOD.      THE TRUCK RUNS GREAT AND SOUNDS EVEN BETTER WITH THE DUAL EXHAUST AND CAM THAT IS IN IT. SOME WHERE IN THE 400 HP RANGE. THE TRUCK JUST SITS AND I JUST DONT HAVE TIME TO GET IT OUT AND ENJOY IT, SO TIME TO SELL. IT RUNS DOWN THE HWY LIKE  A NEW ONE.

Watch how Corvette Racing's new collision-avoidance radar system works

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

When it comes to technology used in racecars, we generally expect it to trickle down to production cars, not the other way around. Well, Pratt & Miller has developed a new rear-facing radar that operates in a similar fashion to what we're used to in modern blind spot detection systems, only it is also capable of tracking cars as they approach and relaying vital information to the driver via a large display screen.
The innovative radar system debuted at last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring for Corvette Racing, and this system makes perfect sense for endurance races like this since the cars sometimes have to drive through the night and in poor weather conditions.
The radar can detect cars even with poor visibility, and uses easy-to-distinguish symbols for the driver to identify.

Chevy shows much-improved 2014 Corvette interior in new video

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

If you want a closer look at what went into designing and building the interior for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, we've got just the thing. General Motors has released a new video detailing the cabin's evolution from conception to execution, complete with commentary from Ryan Vaughn, performance car interior design manager with Chevrolet. The quick clip details how manufacturing, engineering and design within General Motors worked together from the first sketches to ensure no compromises had to be made later down the line. How novel.
With plenty of hides traced with contrast stitching and available real carbon fiber trim, the cabin looks to be a few hundred miles ahead of the C6. Given how readily critics derided the previous generation for its cabin, the C7 should make writers work a little harder to find something to complain about. Check out the video below for yourself.

GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.
