Alright, so the truck isn't a 100% working like she should and this sale is $1500 or best offer, so throw a price at me. Here's the story: Couple weeks ago I was going down the highway and it started backfiring through the carb. Seemed like it was losing power as well and blowing blue smoke a little. I get home and pop the hood. I find right away that the front plug wire was laying against the exhaust manifold and grounded itself out. I pull the plug on that cylinder and it is gummed up with oil bad. I zip-tie the plugwire back and put in a new plug. Didn't change a damn thing and that is as far as I'm going with it. So.. I've been told by many it's probably a stuck valve, I've also heard it could have jumped timing. Got me, and I ain't got the time. If your interested text me 2624843630. You can come over and do whatever tests you need, kick the tires, drink a beer, I don't care I just want it gone so I can put money down on a new truck. I'm going to miss her, though.

This truck has 214580 miles on her. This truck is CLEAN inside and out. It does have a cracked windshield but nothing bad, doesn't affect driving. Has 31x10.5 tires, and a throaty Flowmaster exhaust. Rebuilt transmission, new valve gaskets, oil pan gaskets, oil sending unit, and just replaced all fluid in the diffs and transfer case, new plug wires and plugs, new air filter and oil filter. It doesn't drip oil, BUT, it does require about a quart every 100 miles or so. I don't know where the damn oil is going? It doesn't drip it and doesn't burn it(well until this new problem, now it does). I pulled all the plugs and they are a perfect tan. So it's not burning it. Possibly losing it out of the rear main seal? The 4x4 works perfect and this truck can go through some shit, trust me, I tried.

Well email me or text me some questions, thanks guys. Dan P 262.484.3630

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.

GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.
