Low mileage, vintage 4x4 with lots of potential: lift -- restore -- daily driver -- work.

Automatic with cold air conditioning. Four wheel drive works well in high and low range. Just about everything works as it should except for a couple of lights (interior and under-hood) and left turn signal does not cancel automatically. 305 V8 runs well and transmission shifts smoothly. New gas tank, sender and fuel lines. Frame and undercarriage are in great condition. Tires and chrome wheels are in good shape.

Suffering from the common rust issues of this vintage: Needs bumpers replaced for rust and cab corner, cab mount and rocker panel on driver's side only. Light surface rust on the hood and top. Excellent bed with liner and bed rails since new. The replacement body parts for this truck are readily available and inexpensive. Less than $500 for what's needed.

Very nice interior including upholstery, door panels and carpet. Dash pad is cracked.

Chevy was plowed one year only. Refurbished Fisher 7.5 Foot plow available separately. Plow push plates and wiring not included in truck sale.

Oil change and new headlights last week.

Next Corvette ZR1 to get 700 horsepower?

Word has it General Motors may offer as much as 700 horsepower in the C7 Corvette ZR1. Motor Trend reports the next Corvette Z06 will continue to rely on its naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 engine for thrust, but the lump will deliver substantially more power. How much more? MT says the engine could deliver up to 600 ponies. That's a jump of 95 horsepower over the current Z06, though no figures have been finalized as of yet. Right now, GM is reportedly waiting to see what sort of grunt it can glean from the next ZR1.
The automaker has already made it clear it will resurrect the LT5 name for the new supercharged V8, and if GM is already pulling 600 from the Z06, the big dog ZR1 would theoretically offer 700 horsepower. Either way, the range-topping Corvette will be suitably insulated from its less potent siblings. Stay tuned. We aren't likely to see the Z06 for at least a year, with the ZR1 trailing along at some point there after.

Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.

With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year.
