Here is a 1972 Chevrolet 4X4 that I bought awhile ago to restore, but health issues (and old age) are forcing me to let some of my projects go. This truck was purchased from the original owners daughter, who had it sitting behind the barn since her dad passed away in 1982. It appears to be all original and unmolested, except for the drivers door. The story is the door got left open and caught on some farm equipment that bent it. A used one was installed, but the original is still in the back. There is some surface rust on the hood, and the rockers need replaced, but all in all, it's still a very straight and solid truck. I towed it home, dumped some fresh gas in, and it started right up. Amazing! Smells like rotten gas burning but actually runs better than it should. I drove it around the block, (very slowly), as the old bias tires are so flat on one side it about hopped off the road. They are weather checked and cracked. I cant believe they still hold air. Here I am writing a novel. Sorry. Its a 1\2 ton, six lug, 350 cu.in. four speed trans, with high range low range transfer case, and manual locking hubs. It does run and drive, but in its present condition, not very far or fast. It will definitely pull itself up on a transport. I believe it is all original, with 53k miles. It needs totally restored, and has been sitting for over 30 years. Sold as-is,where-is, but will assist your shipper, or perhaps bring it to your doorstep for an agreed on fee. Hurst Edition Trans Am proves the Screaming Chicken will rise from the ashes

Ever since Chevrolet was granted a retrofied Camaro to compete with the Ford Mustang, Pontiac lovers have lamented the loss of this 1970s icon. And, looking at the Hurst Edition from Trans Am Depot, shown here at the 2012 SEMA Show, may explain what all the fuss is about.
It's not going to appeal to everyone's muscle-car tastes, but there's certainly room for a brash-and-bold black-and-gold Special Edition in many a Trans Am lover's garage. After all, if you want the keys to a custom pony car, you'll certainly get noticed in this one. If this scheme isn't your bag,, you can alternatively order your Hurst Edition in white and gold or silver and black. Oh, and don't forget a color-coordinated Screaming Chicken on the hood.

Fewer than 1 in 3 Chevy dealers earn right to initially sell C7 Corvette
Mon, 01 Apr 2013Looking to make the launch of the 2014 Corvette Stingray as efficient as possible, Chevrolet will be limiting the numbers of its dealers that can sell the all-new coupe and convertible. According to Automotive News, sales of the C7 Corvette will initially be limited to less than a third of Chevy's total dealership network when the 'Vette goes on sale this summer.
Only 900 dealers out of more than 3,000 locations nationwide will be allowed to sell the new Corvette at first, and the reason for this is so that there are no shortages at dealers that can actually get the cars sold. The article says that the 900 dealerships chosen represented 80 percent of total Corvette sales in 2012.
Some of the requirements dealers had to make to get initial allocation of Stingray sales include having sold at least four Corvettes in 2012 and having a Corvette Stingray specialist who will be required to have gone through a training session costing more than $2,000 per attendee. Once demand for the 2014 Corvette Stingray begins to subside - approximately six to nine months after it goes on sale - then allocation could open up to more dealers, but the report indicates this could happen following the 2014 model year.
Chevrolet Malibu gets across-the-board price cuts, hopes to dig out of slump
Mon, 11 Feb 2013To say that things aren't going well for the newly redesigned 2013 Chevrolet Malibu is a pretty sizable understatement. Reports have been swirling about the Malibu getting an emergency design refresh, less than a year after its introduction, as well as having its production at the Fairfax Assembly Plant halted twice already this year for excessive inventory. Now, Motor Trend is reporting that the midsize sedan will be receiving price drops across the board ranging from $300 on a number of models up to $770 on the 1LT trim; offsetting some of MSRP drop, though, the destination charge has increased from $760 to $810.
Without destination, the entry-level Malibu LS now starts at $21,995, which is still about $300 more than a Honda Accord and about $300 less than the segment's top-selling Toyota Camry. This new pricing also drops the price of the Eco, 2LT and 3LT trims by $300. The LTZ trim has dropped by $415, meaning that the Malibu's top dog now starts at just under $30,000, excluding destination.
