Thanks for stopping by and checking out my truck. I've owned it for about 7 months and used it to haul my car trailer to and from racing events with never had any mechanical issues on the road at all. The truck has a 454 engine (very reliable and powerful) along with an automatic transmission that just pulls and pulls with no issues at all. This truck belonged to a friend and I know for a fact it was well maintained and serviced. This truck turned a lot of heads during summer car/truck shows held locally.

I recently bought a Ford F350 dually with a 7.3 diesel and a bank sidewinder turbo. I no longer need this truck. It's going to make some a great truck.

Over a period of time the outside tires on the dually have become somewhat dry rotted and should be replaced soon. I have used the truck with the tires like they are and have no reason to think they are in immediate danger of blowing out. Just being upfront disclosing what i know from experience about this truck. The starter sometimes just clicks a few time before the truck starts. Might be a bad connection on the starter or even the starter might be going. If it is the starter. I'll buy another one and have it replaced before you take the truck at my own expense.

The engine runs great and has no leaks of noises that would indicate any problems. The automatic transmission shifts perfect on time ever time. No slips or leaks anywhere. As I stated I bought this truck from a friend and happened to know first hand the body kit on this truck cost over $3,000.00 not including labor. He did it himself. And he did a great job I might add. The top of the rockers on both sides of the doors need attention. This looks like an easy fix. The frame is solid. No rot.

I have this truck advertised in the local markets such as craigslist and a local truck magazine with an asking price of $2800.00 This price is $200.00 less then the just the body kit cost. I'm sure this truck will not last long even though it is only 2 wheel drive.

What else is there to say? I want your business.

Here is my policy:

1) Should I fail to list or mention any existing issues I will give the buyer the the following options no questioned asked:
      a) cancel the sale and return any money received (buyer must agree to cancel the sale through ebay) (offer good for 7 days after the auction ends)
      b) to discount selling price accordingly (must be agreed on by both parties or go back to option a)

2) Winning bidder has 7 days after the auction ends to complete the sale. Payment in full must be received within this time Otherwise option 1 under          this policy will not apply.

3) Once satisfied with the purchase, proper feedback will be left at this time. Both from the buyer and the seller. We will do whatever we can to assure        you are happy with the sale.

4) No refunds will be given after the 7th day after the auction ends. It is the buyers responsibility to make sure he/she can make the deadline to inspect     the item before he/she bids. Should he/she bid and not inspect the item within the allowed time they forfeit all recourse and agree to accept the item     as it.

Here are the simple terms I would ask the bidder to accept before bidding:

1) The buyer must contact me with 24 hours after the auction ends to confirm the sale.

2) If the buyer is not planing to pick the truck up with 7 days after the sale, he/she agrees to send me a $200.00 deposit via paypal as a good faith deposit. This will secure the sale and prevent the need for me to file a non paying bidder complaint with ebay.

3) I ask the buyer to come inspect the truck personally before paying the balance and expect this to be done with 7 after the auction ends. Once the buyer is happy with the purchaser would ask the appropriate feedback be left by both of us.

4) The buyer is responsible for all transportation or shipping costs, Local pickup only unless other arrangement have made prior to bidding on this item.

5) Acceptable payment is cash only. Nothing else. Paypal can be used for a deposit only if need be. Once payment s received I will transfer title and all ownership to the buyer.

Massachusetts does not have temporary plates or tags.

Please make the proper arrangements to transport. I can fedex the paperwork to you overnight once the payment is received in full but I really encourage you to look over the truck and make sure it was as I described it. My feedback is 100% and I work very hard to keep it there. So please understand I'm doing the best i can to be totally honest with this sale.

If you have any questions or need an additional information please email me and I"ll do my best to accommodate your request.

Email asking for any addition pictures or requests and if given enough time I will try to post them up on the web

Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.

GM won't pay owners of recalled cars for lost value

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

Kenneth Feinberg, the man in charge of the General Motors compensation fund dealing with the its widespread ignition switch woes, has issued an informal, two-letter response to the plaintiffs in more than 70 lawsuits seeking redress for lost resale value of their Cobalts: "No." The cases were recently combined into one, but Feinberg told The Detroit News that the fund will deal "only with death and physical injury claims," and that "perceived diminished value" will get no consideration.
ALG, the firm specializing in establishing residual values, determined that Cobalt owners had lost $300 compared to the segment competition and doesn't envision any long-term effects from the recall situation. Feinberg's statement comes in advance of public details on how the compensation fund will work and adheres to GM's long-held position on the matter. The company has already asked a judge to throw out such suits using the pre-bankruptcy defense, even as it stopped using that defense in cases of injury and death.
With plenty of potential gain from the GM suit, however, don't expect the plaintiffs to give up yet. When Toyota was sued for the same reason during the unintended acceleration debacle, it eventually settled the case for between $1 billion and $1.4 billion just to get it over with. Since the 85 law firms involved in the Toyota litigation took home more than $250 million of that total, we shouldn't expect the attorneys to give up on a GM payout, either.

GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue

Wed, 14 Nov 2012

General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.
