It has 454 engine in it and rebuilt rearend. Does have rust issues as you can see from the pictures. The windshield should be replaced before winter since it has a very crack line at the bottom. Does not hinder your vision since it is at the bottom of the windshield."

For sale is my 1994 Chevrolet c3500 dually pickup truck.  It is red in color and gray on the inside.  Does have a back seat to it.  Has around 284,000 miles on it.  The truck runs great.  It has a 454 in it.  The rearend has been replaced in it and I spent around $325 getting it tuned up so that it will run great.  This would be a great running truck for anybody with a big camper, fifth wheel, construction business, or farmer.  This is a strong engine.  Problems with it is the rust that on it and the cracked windshield which is at the bottom.  The crack does not hinder your line of vision.  This is why I have not replaced it yet.  The tires should be good for at least another six months of driving.  The topper does not come with the truck.  I am putting it on a trailer to cover up firewood.  You have to come and get the truck in Mason City, Iowa.  I will not deliver any questions please call me at 641-420-9715.  This is a great work truck and I got it price to sell.  I am selling it since I drive semi now and I do not have the need for the truck.,  Thank you and please call me with any questions.

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.

Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica

Fri, 03 Aug 2012

If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.

2014 Chevy Cruze Diesel destined for Chicago debut

Mon, 28 Jan 2013

It's been a little over a year and a half since General Motors first confirmed plans to offer a diesel-powered Chevrolet Cruze here in the United States, and we've now learned that the oil-burning compact will debut under the lights of the Chicago Auto Show in February. According to GM Authority, the Cruze Eco-D will be introduced as part of the entire 2014 model year Cruze range, set to go on sale in the second quarter of this year.
Earlier reports have indicated that the diesel Cruze will be able to achieve fuel economy numbers in the range of 50 miles per gallon. For comparison, the similarly sized Volkswagen Jetta TDI is rated at 30/42 mpg city/highway, but as we found out in our long-term test of the 2011 model, hitting 50 mpg was a piece of cake.
Official specifications will be released at the time of the 2014 Cruze's unveiling, though reports have stated that the sedan will be powered by a reworked version of the 2.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-four found in the Holden Cruze CDX overseas. In that application, the four-pot oil-burner produces 160 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque - increases of 20 hp and 29 lb-ft over the 2.0-liter engine used in VW's Jetta TDI.
