1998 Chevrolet C3500 Silverado Crew Cab Pickup Only 103,000 Miles on 2040-cars

I have a 1998 Chevrolet 3500 Silverado for sale. This truck has the big block 7.4L 454 Vortec with an automatic transmission. The truck only has 103,450 original miles!! This truck is not even broke in good. It has 4 new tires on the rear and the 2 front tires are still in good shape. I would say 60%. The truck has a bed mat inside the camper shell and also has the bracket to stick a 5th wheel hitch in the back if ever needed. The paint is chipping off in the crevice of the hood on the driver side. There is a strip of tape over the rear fender on the passenger side. I tried to show it as best I could in the pictures. I'm not too sure the purpose of it. There are matching holes on both sides of the truck in the rear fender where mud flaps used to be. The driver side mirror is chipped just a bit. It is also shown in the photos. The interior of the truck is as close to perfect as can get. There are no rips or tears in the carpet or seats. It has all the power options (seats, windows, locks, mirrors). The factory radio/tape/CD player work as they should. The heat and air also work fine. I run all vehicles through my shop and anything that needs to be done is done before it is ever listed for sale. This will make a perfect work truck for someone and has a lot of work left in it.
This truck is also For Sale locally on our lot so auction could end early. It is being sold AS IS with no warranty given or implied in anyway. You are more than welcome to come test drive and inspect this truck anyway you want before the end of auction or have someone do it for you. GM recalling 118K Colorado, Canyon pickups over missing hood latches
Thu, 20 Dec 2012General Motors has announced a recall of 118,800 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks due to the possibility of secondary hood latches not being installed at the time of manufacture. The affected vehicles are from the 2010, 2011 and 2012 model years, all of which were built between November 9, 2009 and August 28, 2012.
According to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, these trucks fail to "comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 113, 'Hood Latch System.' The hood may be missing the secondary hood latch." In other words, owners of these trucks could find their vehicles' hoods opening unexpectedly while driving.
The official recall campaign is expected to begin on January 17, 2013. Dealers will inspect the affected pickups and if a secondary hood latch is not present, one will be installed free of charge. Scroll down to read the official NHTSA report.
2014 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra full configurators truck in
Sat, 15 Jun 2013You can now put prices to your wildest option-sheet dreams of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. A microsite for the full-size pickup truck twins has been up since January, and now the full-blown configurator is live and ready to take your virtual orders. The only two chassis configurations available at the moment are the Crew Cab with either a short or standard bed - Regular and Double Cab versions will come later. In Silverado flavors that will run you $32,710 for the short box, $33,010 for the standard box, while the Sierra adds a $1,500 premium to both of those prices, and destination and handling for both models adds another $995.
Since these are American pickups the list of modifications is lengthy, but we added $11,450 in just two steps by starting with the Silverado Crew Cab and standard bed, then checking four-wheel drive and the LTZ Z71 package. Our final truck, resplendent in Brownstone Metallic paint, heated and cooled Cocoa/Dune perforated leather seating and tasty details like chrome recovery hooks, and engine block heater and LED cargo box lighting, rang up $57,285 at the candy store.
They'll be on dealer lots sometime this summer, so now's a good time to start practicing your box-checking.
Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own
Tue, 22 Jan 2013It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.
